Add the BreakAway Cabin to your reunion reservation for another 2BR 2BA Cabin style home (new in 2004), giving you a total of 7 Bedrooms and 6.5 Baths in which to spread out. Or,reserve just the BreakAway Cabin - a wonderful 2 BR 2 BA Cabin-style home with bedding for up to 6 guests (1King 1Queen, 1 Sleeper Sofa).  

Just the two of you? When available & on short notice (within 30 days), if not reserved as a Vacation Rental, The Brigman House becomes BreakAway Inn and operates as a 4 BR "Vacation Room" Inn and may be reserved by the room, with rates from $100 to $130 nightly and include an expanded continental breakfast served each morning in the "Gathering Room."  Reserve one of the four absolutely delightful vacation rooms - The Magnolia, The Carolina, Carlee's Room or The Wright Room. The Brigman House is on the National Register of Historic Places, and what an incredible home - perfect for your special reunion or small group gathering. The main living/dining area of the Brigman House has been remodeled from the original log structure, set on this spot in 1840. The rest of this lovely home was vastly added onto as a "major renovation" back in 1890 when the "little log cabin" became a Country Inn. Over one hundred years later, the Brigman house received yet another full face-lift. Totally & lovingly restored in 2003, the Brigman House has all the charm of yesteryear with all the modern conveniences of today, including many gas fireplaces, spa tubs in many of the rooms, WIFI, 50" TV in the "parlour," guest-use laundry, guest-use gas grill, covered porches and decks, creek and lovely views.

BreakAway Cabin of BreakAway Inn is right next door. Built in 2004,BreakAway Cabin is a 2 BR 2 BA cabin-style home. When added to the Brigman House, cabin rates are discounted by 30%, adding lots of flexibility for travelers to Western NC.

Each of these properties has a full amenity kitchen, washer/dryer, porches/decks, gas grill, cable TV (Brigman has cable TV in 4 of the bedrooms as well as a 50" TV in the main family/TV room), WI-FI, in-house phone with unlimited local & long distance calling (within US & Canada), views, creek, close to Reems Creek Golf Course (2mi) the Blue Ridge Parkway (5mi) & Asheville, NC (6mi to city limits, 12mi to historic downtown center), Biltmore Estate (15mi) & easy access to all of Western NC.

There are 5 delightful bedrooms & 4.5 baths. Each bedroom will accommodate two to three guests, for a maximum capacity of 13 guests.  Special touches, including mantled fireplaces in every room, several en-suite spa tubs, wide plank floors & tiling, original rock fireplaces with delightful mantles, whimsical wall-papers, comfortable
antique furnishings, wonderful quilts, sheets & towels - all surround you in a casual yet pampered feel.

Two spacious family rooms allow you to spread out in comfort. Several porches - upstairs & down - are available to sit upon, relax, read, enjoy the views, or just find a quiet moment. A modern kitchen (totally redone in 2004), with opens out into the original log cabin living/dining room area. A gas grill is just out the back door (although most guests use this as the front door) & a cozy lawn will lure you out for an afternoon beverage and cookout.

BreakAway Cabin is a lovely 2 BR 2BA cabin-style home, new in 2004, with many added amenities for a "self-catering" experience. Added amenities include WI-FI, in-house phone, Cable TV, deck, porch, gas grill, full amenity kitchen, Washer/Dryer, all linens & towels are supplied, views & babbling brook - right off the back deck.

Lovely views & a creek!, convenient to downtown Asheville, an easy 12 miles away, Biltmore Estate about 15 miles (buy your discounted Biltmore Estate tickets directly from us if you like) - or enjoy the quaint & enjoyable walking town of Weaverville, just minutes from The Brigman House - go antiquing there at the fun & funky Restoration Hardware Store, or one of the many local artist galleries (The Art Safari the end of April & the beginning of November, each year is WONDERFUL!!), enjoy the incredible Secret Garden Spa or have a cup of coffee & pastry at the Well Bred Bakery & Cafe. Reems Creek Golf Course is just a mile away from the Brigman House, as is Vance Memorial Birthplace (a delightful mountain state park & Historic Site with picnic spot & "living" museum). The Brigman House is a 5 bedroom 4.5 bath home, totally refurbished in 2004 from top to bottom.  Rates range from $335 nightly in our low season (Mid-January - Mar) to $475 nightly in summer months, leaf season and holiday weeks.  $2050 weekly to $2660 weekly.  Call for details.  

Rates listed here do not include the BreakAway Cabin next door, a 2 bedroom 2 bath "cabin" (new in 2004).  BreakAway Cabin rates are $125 - $175 nightly, $755 - $980 weekly.  When reserved together, the Cabin rates are discounted 30%

Rates vary depending on Season & # of nights staying.  The more nights you stay, the lower the nightly rate, the more week days you stay, the more you save!  Minimum stay requirements apply:

Low Season: 1st Sunday in January after NYD through first Thursday in April, 2 night min stay.

Mid Season: April through Friday in May before Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend, November through mid December, excepting Thanksgiving Week. 3 night min stay required

High Seasons: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Week, Christmas Holiday Weeks - 5 night minimum stay required. 

Leaf season (1st Friday in October through till first Sunday in November) - 4 night minimum stay required.

Short stays may be available on short notice (w/in 30 days), where there are "pinch nights" and on weekday nights, with a $50 surcharge added to totals.

Add 10.75% taxes to all totals, except monthly stays when no tax is required.

Pets OK, add $10/night/pet, or $50 /pet/stay, whichever is less (non-refundable

privilege fee).  Must agree to pet agreement:

No pets on furniture, clean pet-waste out of yard, crate unattended pets indoors.  The pet fee is a privilege fee not a damage deposit.  Should your pet cause any additional damages, violate the pet agreement or be the cause excessive cleaning, additional fees will be charged in excess of the privilege fee.
