Walk early in the morning to see numerous wildlife: blue herons, white grand egrets, varieties of birds too numerous to mention, as well as turtles, deer, fox, and other wildlife.

If you love caving, canoeing, swimming, hiking, bike riding, horseback riding, fishing or birding, the fabulous 1300 acre Florida Caverns State Park is one half mile down the road. The Florida Caverns State Park are the only tour caves in Florida and feature fabulous stalactites, stalagmites and flowstone formations and host thousands of people each year. Native Americans once lived in the caves and used them for gathering clay, temporary shelters and burials. Spanish explorers wrote about the caves, while Civil War refugees hid in the dark crevices to avoid Union soldiers.

Discover the many attractions of historic Marianna where the Civil War Battle of Marianna was fought on Main Street, tour the beautiful Russ House, and enjoy various fine restaurants and seasonal cultural events.

The world-renowned Blue Springs at Merritts Millpond are just outside the city limits to the east. The Blue Springs produce more than 64.6 million gallons of water each day and the mill pond is honeycombed with underwater limestone caves which attract scuba cave divers from around the globe. Families love boating, swimming and picnicking at the park as well.

Located just one hour south of Marianna is historic Panama City and Panama City Beach with its white sand beaches on the clear, warm, green waters of the Gulf, rightly called the Emerald Coast.

Head east from Marianna and within 30 minutes is the 37,000 acre Lake Seminole, world known for its bass fishing tournaments. Another 30 minutes and you are in historic Tallahassee with its many cultural and sporting attractions.

Head north out of Marianna and within one hour you can experience the southern charm of Dothan, Alabama or Bainbridge, Georgia, with their rich history and beautiful old homes.

Its delightful sunny kitchenette has coffeemaker, convection toaster over, microwave, refrigerator. Exit through the french door onto the large privacy deck for morning coffee and enjoy the tree covered lawn. Adjacent covered parking.
