Townhouse at the Beach in Sanibel Island

This townhouse is immaculately kept and furnished with many
amenities, not usually expected. The living room, and both bedrooms
have TV's, VCR's, DVD players and there is a PC with hi speed
internet access in the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully
furnished with every type of cookware, bakeware and appliance needed
to cook as if you were at home. There is a dishwasher. A washer
and dryer are in the townhouse. There is an adequate library of
books, games, videos and DVD's. A stereo with a tape and CD player is in

On site: heated swimming pool, regulation tennis courts, clubhouse
with PC and clubhouse area with wireless internet access. Outdoor gas BBQ grills and covered picnic area. Canoes and kayaks to use on the bayou at no cost. Staff on site to assist with last minute needs.
In the townhouse: Central air. Gourmet equipped kitchen with task
lighting. Formal dining area sits 6. Comfortable living room with
queen sized sleeper sofa. Laundry area. Master bedroom with bath
en suite. Second bedroom with twin beds. Clean, fresh, decorated with bright pastels and a hint of the tropics.Beach umbrella, beach chairs, beach mats, and sand toys. A pull cart to transport beach things to and from. Paddle
ball set. Tennis racquets and tennis balls. Small golf carry bag
and some clubs. Fishing rods, line, weights, hooks, etc.

Two golf courses on the island, several more close by.
Bike rental company will deliver to the townhouse for your arrival
and pick up when/after you leave. You can choose from standard
bikes, mountain bikes, bikes with kid seats, bikes built for two and
motorbikes. There are 6 miles of bike trails on the island and they
pass by the condo complex.
The fishing is excellent. People are anxious to tell you the best
spots to fish and many places carry bait.
Shelling is much more than you will expect. Cross currents deliver
so many shells every day it's sometimes hard to find the sand
beneath them. The complex has a shell washing station and there is a
Shell Museum close by where you can see outstanding specimens and
they have shell related activities for children.
The Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge is our nearest neighbor and occupies
6,400 acres. You can drive, walk, bike or take a tour through it.
It's closed on Fridays and the other 6 days of the week it's open
from 7:30 am to sunset. Birdwatchers will have over 220 species of
birds to observe including the roseate spoonbill.
There are two live theater companies on the island and a cinema.
Shopping exists at all levels. There is an outlet center nearby and
several smaller and mid to high end (such as Eileen Fisher) stores
on the island.
All the restaurants accept casual attire. The atmosphere is relaxed.
Schnappers is the most fun you can have at a hot dog stand, The Lazy
Flamingo is a bar/restaurant suitable for families. Whatever you
like to eat, there are plenty of restaurants to suit your taste
including Chinese, Italian, Health Food, deli's, etc.
