Comfortable, cozy home away from home.

This cozy cabin has a great location: close to the main street of pleasant Manitou Springs, easy access to lots of nature adventures, and convenient to the bigger city amenities, like malls and airport. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Everything necessary, and some extras, were provided. Overall, it made a great place to spend Christmas and we would definitely stay there again!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers

Fantastic!

Review submitted: September 14, 2011   Date of arrival: September 9, 2011

Myself and three other women had a three night stay at Fountain Creek Cabin. The cabin was easy to get to with the directions provided by the owners. The cabin was fully equipped with all the amenities we may have needed or forgotten to bring. We COULD have arrived with nothing but the clothes on our backs and a sack of groceries. The information the owners provided was accurate and very helpful. The cabin was clean and well maintained. It is very close to the Cog Railway to Pikes Peak (which I think was our favorite), Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds and many other attractions. Although we did not eat at any of the options available in downtown Manitou Springs, there were many to choose from. The only problem we encountered was choosing who would be the one to sleep on the top bunk. And as it turned out, it held up to the weight of an adult and was quite comfortable. The fold out sofa in the living room was not as comfortable and decided it served better by NOT folding out. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend! Thank you Cliff and Sara. We had a great time and now have some fabulous memories!

Owners response: Thank you, Kathy! How nice of you to take the time to write a review. Cliff and I were happy to hear that you and your friends had a great time in Manitou. And you're right about that sleeper sofa...it's okay for kiddos, but for adults, it's better to just leave it 'unfolded'. I've actually slept on it once or twice myself, and I can attest that 'unfolded' is better! :-) Thank you for the five-star rating and for being such wonderful guests. You're always welcome at the cabin! Cliff & Sara

The cabin is beautifully decorated. And although the appliances are old, they work. The location is in the heart of town and yet private and quiet. The town is pedestrian friendly, hip, fun, and there are lots of things to do in the area. Best of all, the owners are very thoughtful and easy to work with. We would recommend this to a friend.
