Tranquil Treehouse in the Dunes 2010 in Beverly Shores

Enjoy the treehouse in the dunes. Very cozy mid-century chalet-style home. Great room with a fabulous stone fireplace in the center, pecky cyprus walls, and cathedral ceiling all set snug as a bug high in the tree canopy. Perfect seclusion on a very large long wooded lot. Floor to ceiling north windows glow in the late afternoon. Absolutely wonderful during the fall. Mother nature is all around in Beverly Shores, located in the heart of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. We don't have a lake view, but our beach parking pass will let you enjoy night after night of gorgeous sunsets.

2 BR fully furnished with linens/bedding, 1 BR (queen size bed) and
full bath up, 1 BR (queen size bed) and full bath down. Just about all you have to pack:  clothing and food.

Exposed beams with ceiling fans, eat at bar/counter next to kitchen.  Fully equipped kitchen: miscellaneous spices, coffeemaker, pots, pans, many small appliances and microwave (no dishwasher).

TV/VCR in each bedroom, 21 inch TV/dvd with home theatre in great Room (Cable TV and XM Radio in great room only).  There are movies (dvd/vhs) to watch and board games for a rainy day.

Each bedroom has privacy and queen posturepedic mattresses. Extra sleeping
in open upper walk around with 2 full sized futons, and 1 full sized convertible sofa next to TV on main floor.  Upper outside balconies on front and back of
house. Extra large main floor deck wraps around house over the edge of dune.
Sit in one of the old rocking chairs and watch the birds.  During the
quiet of night, hear the frogs in the park pond. On a windy night
hear Lake Michigan roar. There is a small frog pond right off the back
door to the new addition of a three season screen room with a harvest table and eight hickory chair for full dining.  You can relax, not battle the mosquitos, hear the crickets and frogs sing, and in late summer add in the choir of cicadas.

Deck has a full size Weber charcoal grill, picnic table, patio
furniture, and a two person dry sauna outside next to screen room.

Washer and dryer upstairs. Central heat and air conditioning. Wood burning stove with glass front door set into fireplace hearth.

We also provide a single beach parking pass. This will authorize one vehicle access to the limited permit-only parking along the beach during your stay.  Beach chairs and beach towels on premises for your use.

Less than a two block walk to Lake Michigan and great sunsets. We
are just across the road from the only City Park. Fountain is a
spring-fed pond, and park includes tennis court, 1/2 basketball
court, grills, and children's play area. House sets high above park
for privacy.
South Shore train tracks just 1 mile from house. Easy on and
off for a quick trip to Chicago for a Broadway quality show, dining,
the World Famous Field Museum of Natural History, Museum of Science
and Industry, Art Institute, and Shedd Aquarium.
Beverly Shores is located within the 20,000 acre National Lakeshore
and borders the Indiana Dunes State Park. National Lakeshore
Visitor's Center one mile, and state park entrance approximately two
miles. We are 5 miles directly west of Michigan City, the Marina,
Michigan City Zoo, Outlet Mall, and Blue Chip Casino, great food
and shopping.

All rentals require a $500.00 refundable security deposit.

Rates are all inclusive including cleaning fee.

$920.00/week in July and August (thru Labor Day weekend) 

$835.00/week  in June (including Memorial Day weekend) 

$750.00/week September thru May (special rate for longer stays)

Mar-May: $155.00/night

June only: $169.00/night (includes Memorial weekend)

July/August: $183.00/night (includes Labor Day weekend)

Sept-Nov: $155.00/night

Will only book short stays for July and August after June 15.

Cancellations after May 1st will be nonrefundable.

All weekly rentals are based on a 7 day/6 night stay.
Security deposit is required.

There is no additional cleaning fee all rates are all inclusive.

50% of rental rate payable in advance to hold date.

(2) Four legged pets are allowed. Fish, gerbils, hamsters, and birds also
welcome. It is a family trip after all. A five by fifteen (8 foot tall)
outdoor kennel is next to the house so your pet can enjoy mother nature safely. 

I accept credit cards, personal checks, and money orders. The balance due on the rental,
and all deposits must be paid a minimum of 20 days prior to the
rental date.
