The private gate access and 80 steps to
the water is perfect for families and kids. In addition to miles of
beach, hiking trails in the mountains let you enjoy beautiful
tropical scenery with waterfalls. Laie Point (a scenic spot for
picnicking and, for the brave among you, cliff jumping), and is just
a short drive to several tourist attractions including the popular
Polynesian Cultural Center, Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline, and
Waimea Falls. About a mile from the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC)
and 1 1/2 miles from Laie Shopping Center which includes a movie
theater, video store, supermarket, and restaurants. Honolulu &
Waikiki are just 45 minutes away by car. Local shrimp farms provide
fresh shrimp to roadside shrimp stands, and don't forget to eat at
the Hukilau Cafe, my personal favorite. Go for the roast pork!

the day learning the culture of Hawaii, topped off by a 2-hour show
that is nothing short of spectacular.Plus the best Luau on the
islands,, WAIMEA FALLS PARK: by Sunset Beach is a botanical
experience and a ancient village attraction and a Cliff Diving show,
visitors can swim under the waterfall after each show. HIKING: the
Hauula Trail (1 mile S) FISHING: People fish all along the ocean or
get a fishing boat in Haleiwa for about $80. Guests often catch
tuna, ahi and ono. You get to keep 50 pounds worth. HORSEBACK
RIDING: is offered at the Kualoa Ranch Park (10 miles S.) Jurassic
Park was filmed here. The Park also offers great a beach. GOLF: The
experienced golfer probably wants to check out the world-famous
Palmer course at the Turtle Bay Resort just 8 miles North. It is the
home of the annual Senior PGA championship tournament.Kahuku Golf
Course is 3 1/2 miles North,9-hole budget golf course,no club
rentals, no clubhouse,But a round at this scenic oceanside course
amidst the tranquillity of the North Shore is quite an
experience,Don't forget to bring your camera for the views
(especially at holes 3, 4, 7, and 8, which are right on the ocean).
