vacation rental description
Notice! There have been quite a few additions to the vacation rental market on St. Simons Island over the past year or more. This is primarily due to the economic crisis. Many homes may not be well furnished or may be in trouble financially, so make sure you do your homework!
This is a classic 1940's Island Cottage Home in a perfect location near the Village! This is not a second home with personal belongings in it, but rather a boutique cottage that we use exclusively for our guests at Island Cottage Company, a family owned business we started 7 years ago! We have lots of repeat guests and are happy to provide references.
This 2 Bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home (sleeps 6) is located just 4 blocks from Mallory Park and the Village/Pier Area on St. Simons, which boasts wonderful pubs, restaurants, two parks, beach access and a new public pool, along with tennis courts and a GREAT little library.
Guests rave about the high quality furnishings, linens and comfortable beds.
The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and has easy access to the
many bicycle and walking paths that St. Simons Island has to offer.
Closed in back porch leads to a deck overlooking a large fenced in
back yard. Complete with an outdoor shower and teak furniture with
umbrella, it is the perfect place for a BBQ with the family.
A large fenced-in back yard, full of our famous Live Oak trees and complete with
swingset, allows the kids and dogs a good place to run while you
grill fresh fish on the large gas grill, complete with gas.
All the neighbors are wonderful people and we take care to ensure that our
guests feel at home and respect the folks that live here permanently.
Loud noise or large parties are not appropriate for this area.

establishments, to Southern Soul BBQ with sweet tea,
dining on St. Simon's Island is always a great experience. A whole
range of dining options begins in the village, just down the street.
A quiet walk to and from dinner is one of our family's favorite
things about living in this area!
Fishing - Off-shore Deep Sea Fishing charters available most
days weather permitting; Inland Waterway fishing excellent year-
round; surf fishing right on the beach or at the Pier. Try your hand
at crabbing off the pier with the local kids.
Try the Casino Cruise for an evening of offshore dinner and gambling.

state and national parks. Take a ferry to Cumberland Island National
Seashore for a historical walking tour or see Okefenokee Swamp by

extraordinary shows for your entertainment. The Alhambra Dinner
Theatre presents dinner and fine Broadway shows. The Florida Theatre
hosts the Symphony, Pops and many fine traveling Jazz, Dance and
other entertainers each season. Each year the FCCJ Artist Series
featuring Broadway shows has a number of fine shows at the Time-Union
Center for the Performing Arts.

Museum of Modern Art, Aviation Museum, Maritime Museum Society,
Museum of Southern History and Kingsley Plantation are just some of
the major attractions that make wonderful regional day trips.
Go to the Zoo! Just 60 minutes south is the beautiful Jacksonville
Zoo, positioned along the St. John's river. The zoo is quite nice
and can take a full day to see everything properly.
