Spacious Lakefront Home in Lake Geneva

This is a charming lake house with all the modern amenities.  

It is a a private 4000 sq. ft. home built in 1905 ontwo wooded acres
with 120 feet of lakefront at the Fontana end of Geneva Lake. 
The house  was styled after William Wordsworth's home in the Lake
Country of England. The interior features Midwest Prairie architecture
with beamed ceilings spanning the living room and spacious dining room.
The living room has two sitting areas, a large fireplace, and HDTV  home theatre.  
The outdoor porch is filled with comfortable wicker furniture, iaporch swing, and 
picnic table. The porch overlooks the front lawn and affords a great view of the lake.
The private pier has a covered,mechanized boat lift and an attached smaller pier
for kayaks or canoes. There is a private swim raft and buoy for an additional boat.
The grounds are wooded except for the front and side lawns. A sunken garden
flanks the driveway from North Lake Shore Drive to the house.

The house has internet access, WI FI throughout, and 3 cable tvs. 
There is a large, fully appointed kitchen with updated appliances, two ovens, a microwave,
28 cu. ft. side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, and a breakfast table in the sitting area
with two easy chairs, an oversized desk, cable TV, and Franklin fireplace. Off the 
kitchen there is a butler's pantry with wet bar, utility room with washer and dryer,
and a powder room.  A new outdoor multi-burner gas grill is on the back patio. 

The house is fully air conditioned.  It has six bedrooms that sleep 13,
and three full baths upstairs. Three bedrooms view the lake, one with a king and
two with queen size beds. The other three bedrooms have twins, a double bed,
or double bunk beds. Supplementalcleaning services can be scheduled.

The upstairs hallway is an open sitting area with large screen cable TV, DVD, VCR
and fireplace. This space contains a desk area.

Most families spend their time on the private pier and swim raft. 
Bring your boat and store it on the covered boat lift or rent  a boat in the nearby marina.
Relaxing on the porch or enjoying one of the three TV sitting areas are second options.

The Fontana waterfront is only a 5-minute walk along the lake shore
path for sandwich lunches, casual meals, watersport rentals, public
boat launch, and beach. The lake path is maintained by lakefront
residents for the enjoyment of walkers and joggers.

Golfers will find several excellent golf courses nearby. The area
boasts great shopping, antiquing, movie theatres, bowling,
libraries, and restaurants. Other nearby facilities include a
comprehensive health club, a sailing camp, biking and hiking trails,
and a full service spa. Summer theatre and an outdoor
concert series are offered, and a full schedule of boat excursions
from the Riviera dock in downtown Lake Geneva. The Beloit Snapper
minor league baseball games are a short drive from Fontana. The
4th of July features freworks over the Fontana lake front; August
features the Wisconsin State Fair and weekly corn and brat festivals
throughout the area.  A new zip line attraction opened March, 2011.
A daily train commutes to Chicago from Harvard, Illinois, which is 20
minutes away by car. Milwaukee is easily reached by car in less than
an hour.
