Located in the central district, within easy walking distance of everything you come to see lies Barrio de Aldea, a gated area of fine residential homes. This is San Miguel's most convenient area. Just a block from the Instituto Allende, the famous art and language school that helped put this city on the map and a 5 minute stroll
past the finest shops, galleries and restuarants, lies the towns main square
Within Aldea, it’s the best of a four home development, gated for
security and privacy, yet just an important half block away from the
main street for peaceful quiet nights. This lovely new home offers
the unequaled convenience of the district and for those driving an
essential garage, a hard to find amenity in San Miguel de Allende.
This modern colonial home has a spacious living room and dining area
that leads through arched glass doors to a lovely sun-filled patio
with a dramatic Moroccan arched fountain as it’s center piece. The
entire house has special custom painting effects in wonderful
Mexican colors and is decorated with an exotic theme but carefully selected for comfort and livability. Ample use of stained glass floods the rooms with colored light. The master suite has it's own sun-filled
terrace with shade umbrella, table and chairs for morning coffee.
All the bedrooms have dramatic boveda ceilings unique to this area of
Mexico and are equipped with ceiling fans. Each bedroom has its’ own
Mexican tiled bathroom attached. All bedrooms have king-size beds
but one bedroom offers king or twin bed arrangements. The large upper terrace is perfect for sunbathing or sunset cocktails and views of the Parroquia. There are tables, chairs, and even a hammock for lazy reading under the shade of the loggia.
The kitchen is well equipped to delight the gourmet in your group
and has a breakfast booth for lazy breakfasts, but if it’s time off for
the cook among you, that you prefer, then a personal cook can be
arranged. The house comes equipped with maid service three
days a week.

San Miguel is a mecca for things to do. This small town probably
offers more in the way of activites, classes, workshops in all art
forms and interests than in any place in the world. The city has
some of the best language schools in the country and numerous
venues by which to discover and excercize any artistic whim or interest you
may have. Anything from Tango lessons to Mexican cooking, from Jazz
festivals to cultural celebrations, boredom in SMA is a position of
choice. We have golf, thermal pools, some of the best shopping in
Mexico. Concerts, live theater, art openings, wonderful, romantic
cafe's but mostly it's the people that are drawn to this funky
