bluffoverlooking a panoramic view of Gloucester Harbor. Crystal 
chandeliers suspended from 12' ceilings, gleaming parquet 
floors, gilded mirrors, antique 6' soaking tubs, and  5 working 
fireplaces  contirbute to the atmoshere of relaxed elegance. 
This property is a portrait of a time when new American tycoons 
created stuning private homes to display their wealth and good 
taste. One of Cape Ann's most prestigious historic homes, the 
Charles Hovey House has been fully restored with period 
antiques and art. The one-acre, private lot is abloom from early 
spring to first frost with lush gardens surrounded by rolling 
lawns. The secluded bedrooms feature gorgeous antique beds. 
A romantic, luxurious getaway for three couples or an 
unforgettable gathering of family for a reunion.

Gloucester, made famous as the home of "The Perfect Storm", is  
the oldest working sea port and art colony in the US. Nearly 400 
years of history have accumulated, yet the New England 
coastline around here is as spectacularly pristine and beautiful 
as when the colonists arrived. A string of unspoiled  fishing 
villages where time has virtually stood still encircle Cape Ann. 
Activities available are endless. Whale watching, charter fishing, 
hiking, biking, shopping, kyaking, antiqueing, birding (one of the 
top areas in the US), sunset schooner cruises (complete with a 
lobster dinner), theaters, museums, live music, beautiful 
beaches, tours, world-class dining  are all right here. Within 45 
minutes by train or car you can be in Boston enjoying 
sophisticated city life.
