Cheryl's House, with Dramatic Ocean & River Views in Mendocino

This sophisticated yet simple craftsman-style cottage was designed
as a romantic little get-away place while the owner was still living
on the East Coast and traveling regularly to the Mendocino area. It
has one bedroom (queen size bed with a featherbed topper) with
French doors opening out onto the deck. There’s a double-headed
shower for two with stone tiles in the bathroom. The living room
has two sets of French doors which open out onto the deck with
expansive views up the Navarro River and unending Pacific vistas.
There’s a very comfortable futon couch (where a child or one
additional adult can sleep), a new gas-burning "wood-stove" with
open glass front, an antique pine table and chairs and a
Scandinavian armoire. The floors are newly refinished redwood and
Mexican paver tiles with oriental carpets.

All linens (100% cotton), blankets & pillows are provided. Coffee
and some pantry items are also stocked. Custom redwood storm doors
and shutters close the house tightly for added protection during
dramatic winter storms. A back up generator ensures continuous
power, water during those pesky PG&E outages during storms in the
off-season.

Other amenities include high-speed wireless internet access, a
stereo system with CD player, satellite TV, DVD (with a good
selection of recent movies) and high-powered binoculars on a tripod
for viewing the whales. For those who enjoy cooking, there’s a
Jennair gas stove, a microwave, ice cream maker, coffeemaker, Cuisinart, and an Asko dishwasher. The pantry area houses the refrigerator, washer & dryer
and storage space. Onsite Therapeutic Massage & Aromatherapy

Breakfast in Bed (in a basket), Personal Chef, and Custom Cake
Delivery services also available.

$275/night; $1750/week plus 11% tax, cleaning fee of $125, and
security deposit of $350. Off-season rates available Nov-March,
except during holidays.
