Beautiful Home;Terrific Location; January/February Special ! in Topsail Island

Our beautiful, spacious four bedroom, four bath cottage, Beach Breeze, is located on Topsail Island and provides the best of both worlds. A one-minute walk will take you to the ocean where the oceanfront property is undeveloped providing a long stretch of quiet, secluded beach. A large gazebo built on the sand dunes provides a shaded place to sit and watch the sunrise or your children playing on the beach. A one-minute walk in the other direction will lead you to our sound pier from which you can watch the sunset or cast your fishing line. Beach Breeze is situated in a lovely grove of ancient live oak trees that are as tall as the house. You can see both the ocean and the sound from the upper of the two large decks on the front of the cottage. Whatever your preference, there's a place for you on one of the decks. Sunbathers can stretch out on the upper deck while those who prefer shade will find a quiet place to sit and read in the swing on the lower deck. 

The 2050 sq. ft. reverse floor plan includes a master suite and two more bedrooms and baths on the first floor. The second floor consists of the living / dining / kitchen area, a bedroom (second floor master) and bath. There are hardwood floors in the living / dining / kitchen area, Berber carpet is in the bedrooms, and tile in the bathrooms. Lots of ceiling fans and windows provide beautiful views and breezes. The sleeping accommodations are as follows: On the first floor the master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom (bunk bedroom) has two sets of bunk beds (four beds in total), and the third bedroom (futon bedroom) has a futon which sleeps two. This room also has a TV, so it makes a great playroom for the kids. The second floor master bedroom has a double bed. 

Beach Breeze offers wireless internet, cable TV and phone.

The spacious master bathroom includes a Jacuzzi (hot tub) in addition to a shower/tub and two sinks with vanities. The remaining three baths all include tubs with showers. All bathrooms have tile floors. A washer and dryer are provided on the first floor. Outside on the ground level there is an enclosed shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off after your ocean swim.

The master bedroom, and second floor master and the bunk bedroom each have private connecting bathrooms. The bathroom for the futon bedroom is across the hall. All bedrooms have wall-to-wall Berber carpeting. Four color TVs are provided in the living room, the master bedroom, the futon bedroom, and in the upstairs master.  All TV's are connected to cable. The TV's in the living room and futon room have DVD players connected to them. The futon room makes a great playroom for children allowing the adults more privacy and quiet in the living room upstairs.

All beds have pillows and blankets or comforters. You will need to bring sheets, bath towels, and beach towels. We ask one favor of you when you stay at our cottage and that is to clean the cottage when you leave so it will be nice for the next family that comes to visit. If this is not possible, housekeeping arrangements can be made. Please ask about this. All necessary cleaning products, paper products, two vacuums, etc. are provided so you do not need to bring those things. We simply ask you to replace items as they are emptied. There is an enclosed two-car garage with an entrance to the first floor. Boat owners may tie up for the day at the sound pier and/or store your boat in the 32 foot long garage. A free public boat launch is located nearby on the island.

Beach Breeze is convenient to both Wilmington and Camp Lejeune.  There are many activities for the entire family nearby: surf & pier fishing; charter boat fishing, both near-shore and deep sea; crabbing & clamming; miniature golf, golf courses on the mainland; lots of shopping including several very nice art galleries; Internet cafes; roller skating; surf board, jet ski, & kayak rentals; bicycle rentals (the towns of Surf City and Topsail Beach have paved bicycle lanes); and a wide variety of restaurants from very casual to elegant. Local events that may interest you include: the Kiwanis Sun Fest (May), July 4 Fireworks (beat the crowds & watch these from the upper deck), the King Mackerel Tournament (Aug.) the Snead's Ferry Spot Festival (Aug.), Autumn with Topsail (Oct.), & the Holiday Boat Flotilla (Nov.) During the summer visit the Sea Turtle Hospital, one of only a few such facilities in the US that cares for & rehabilitates injured sea turtles. Twice yearly you may observe the staff as they return rehabilitated turtles to the sea.

Topsail Island is a family oriented beach.  The main reason people enjoy Topsail, returning year after year, is because of the many miles of uncrowded sandy beaches. Perfect for swimming, walking, sunbathing, fishing, or simply relaxing. You too will fall in love with the island. Our neighborhood is located on the southern end of the island. There are no oceanfront homes in the vicinity of our beach access, so you will find the beach in this area very private. But don't limit yourself to the beach. Be sure to spend some time enjoying the sound where you will see interesting wildlife.

Avoid the hassles and heartaches of dealing with a commission rental agent who is managing dozens if not hundreds of properties.  We have used agents in the past with a prior property but determined Beach Breeze is simply too nice to risk a repeat of earlier problems brought on by lack of attention.  With Beach Breeze, you speak directly with the owner who is responsive to your needs.

January 1 - May 19:  $800/week; 2 or 3 nights: $450; 4 nights: $550; 5 nights: $650; 6 nights: $750

May 19 - May 26:  $1000/week

May 26 - June 2:   $1200/week

June 2 - June 9:  $1500/week

June 9 - June 16:  $1600/week

June 16 - August 18:  $1975/week

August 18 - August 25:  $1800/week

August 25 - September 8:   $1200/week

A nonrefundable deposit of 25% ($200 minimum) is required to hold your reservation of a week's stay or more. The remaining balance is due three weeks in advance of your arrival. For visits of less than a week, full payment is required at the time of reservation. Rates do not include tax.

Weekly rentals during the peak season (May 19, 2012 - September 8, 2012) are scheduled Saturday to Saturday only.
