Great house for vactions

This house was referred to me by a friend as we wanted to have a small family gathering in LV. What a great place to stay! Clean,waterfalls,pool and lots of room for family. The master bedroom is awesome with fireplace, and a huge deck to tan. I would recommend it to anyone. we would definitely book it again.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Poorly maintained, dangerous and no privacy

1. No smoke alarm on main level Called and was told one will be installed within 4 days - we left on 5th day no detector was ever installed.
2. Exposed wires above waterfall feature
3. exposed wires behind waterfall feature
4. Waterfall feature inoperative. Calcification under ledge indicates has been that was for a very long time. (was not told about this prior to arrival)
5. No privacy – neighbor across street has window views of patio area, house to North has window and short wall views to pool area, and house to South has a balcony view down to patio and pool area. Fence at street side is only 4 feet tall allowing pedestrian views to patio & pool. (We were assured "TOTALLY PRIVACY" and that was clearly not the case)
6. No hot water at kitchen sink - only gets warm.
7. No use of garage – it’s a filthy mess & full of stuff.
8. Upstairs common bathroom sink has knob off faucet and the bath tub has soap dish torn off tiles.
9. Master bedroom bath has no door for privacy
10. Master bedroom fan light fixture has no cover and light inoperative
11. Master closet light fixture missing light cover
12. Master closet smells of cigarette smoke.
13. Patio furniture has burn holes, are stained and dirty.
14. Dining room light fixture 3 of 6 light bulbs burnt out
15. Carpet is shag and dirty – especially along the edges (appears to be from cigarette smoking long term in the home.
16. Coffeepot maker lid is broken yet is still somewhat functional
17. Ceiling in fireplace room has a hole covered with a 8x10 piece of paper secure with thumbtacks
18. Appliances are dated

I would discourage families with kids (exposed wires) and other issues about the home. I've gotten far better from the money and the short-coming here are unnecessary - but we felt it was a take it or leave it (yeah right after paying in advance?)

As long time renters of vacation homes in the past 20 years, it is our opinion for the lacking on important safety issues alone - the license to rent this home out merits revocation.

Recommended for: age 55+

Owners response: The lights in the D.R. are operating as is the smoke detector and was installed as well as faucet replaced when the tenant left as the electrician made unanswered calls to the tenant.
The garage door was broken into to and garage is not for tenants..
is used for storage.
The wireing by the waterfalls is low voltage and is not connected and is for future lighting on the waterfalls.. The cover on the ceiling is an inspection opening for the plumber Smoking is not allowed in the house even tho this tenant had buts that were left even tho there are " no smoking" signs.
Every spring the trees and bushes are trimmed every spring and contrary to the tenants assertion, there isn't a sidewalk between the back fence and the road which is 8 ft below the fence line and sidewalk is accross the road
There isn't a door between Master bdm and bathroom and was designed that way. The light in the master bedroom is operable by remote and there are 3 other lights in the bedroom.. the remote is on the wall.
the coffee pot lid may be removed to clean and is easily put on as in other coffee electric pot
