Villa Estrella is the perfect vacation spot for family or business 
groups ranging from 8 to 20 to experience all the fun and adventure

Villa Estrella is located in the exclusive beachside community of 
Ocotal in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica overlooking the Gulf 
of Papagayo and the Pacific Ocean. It is just a few minutes south 
ofthe little beach village of Coco andonly a twenty five minute 
drive from Liberia International Airport. This gorgeous, newly 
constructed villais situated on a private hilltop that rises from 
the beach of Ocotal and offers breathtaking views of the Pacific to 
the west andvolcanic mountains and jungles to the north, east, and 
south. 

Villa Estrella is perfectly situated for guests to enjoy swimming, 
scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, and sailing in the pristine 
waters of the Gulf of Papagayo. Centrally located in the Guanacaste 
region, guests can also easily venture out each day in different 
directions to experience the various pleasures of jungle canopy 
tours, mud baths, horseback riding, white water river rafting, 
pristine surfing beaches, and nearby local villages. The Village of 
Coco, for example, is just five minutes away and it boasts a variety 
of restaurants and local shops. After sunset, Coco's nightlife comes

Villa Estrella has seven full sized suites that accommodate up to 20 
guests.

Of special note, for groups with a sizable number of younger 
children, Villa Estrella features a larger "roup suite" aturing 
eight separate bunk beds . . . an experience the kids will surely 
enjoy. All linen and towels are refreshed daily.

In addition to the comfort of the Villa Estrella's suites, enjoy all

Your stay at Villa Estrella includes three wonderful meals each day 
prepared by our own private Costa Rican chef. All of your meals will 
be served outdoors in the shade of the covered patio with overhead 
fans gently refreshing you. In advance of your trip to Costa Rica, 
we will review the proposed menu with you with a goal of customizing 
meal choices to your group's preferences, including special dietary 
needs. Meals will be served at the time of your choosing --- 

Breakfast --  
  At breakfast, all your senses will wake up! The best in Costa 
Rican coffee and local tropical juices will be served you as you 
come to the table. You'll enjoy various egg dishes enhanced with 
Costa Rican breakfast meats, light spices, and salsas.......and 
cereals, grains, waffles and pancakes layered with tasty yogurts and 
local fresh fruit! Local jams and jellies on toasted breads! You'll 
leave the breakfast table satisfied, energized, and ready to go! All 
this while listening to the sounds of the parrots and monkeys in the 
tree tops, as they wake up themselves.  

Lunch --  
  Lunches will be on the lighter side (as is the case in Costa Rica) 
giving you a mid-day boost without creating that heavy feeling. 
Along with re-energizing tropical drinks, you'll enjoy refreshing 
Costa Rican fruit and vegetable “ensaladas”; healthy sandwich 
selections; and of course you'll have to try our “tico” beans/rice 
specialty dishes!  

Dinner --  
  Dinners will be “magnifico”. Close your eyes and fantasize the 
taste of super fresh mahi mahi, tuna, and lobster, and many other 
varieties of fish, caught that very day, enhanced with tasty gourmet 
sauces and salsas, and served in delightfully creative ways. Smell 
the aromas of steak, pork, and chicken “entradas” grilled to your 
particular liking on the Villa Estrella's outside barbeque grill. 
Cap off the dinner with tasty local deserts that will bring you to 
total satisfaction. And for our adult guests, choose from our fully 
stocked wine, beer and liquor bar to add fun to the night! 

Activities and Attractions

Fun-filled activities and adventures abound in Costa Rica and you 
have many options on how best to enjoy them! The management of Villa 
Estrella will be glad to assist in any way possible.

“Expert Guide” is one option to utilize the services that will help 
you select your activities and arrange all the necessary 
transportation and logistics that pertain to your selections. VILLA 
ESTRELLA will be pleased to recommend an appropriate Expert Guide 
for you. You can then start planning your trip with your Guide well 
in advance of your arrival so that it unfolds like clockwork the 
moment you land at the airport! 

Beach Adventures
Playa Avalennes  
  An awesome beach that takes a little over an hour to get to on 
challenging roads at the end, but it's worth it! Enjoy this pristine 
beach and wonderful surfing, boogey boarding, body surfing waves. 
The little restaurant/bar on the beach called Café Lola offers 
outstanding light meals and tropical beverages. A perfect day's 
adventure.
 
 Playa Negra 
   Just five additional minutes down the road from Playa Avalennes, 
another incredibly pristine swimming/surfing beach with incomparable 
beauty with local cuisine/beverages as well. Particularly unique for 
its volcanic outcroppings. Very reminiscent of Hawaii! A perfect 
day's adventure. 

Playa Tamarindo 
  A little under an hour from the VILLA, this beach is of Endless 
Summer fame! Like Avalennes and Negra, another great 
swimming/surfing beach just steps away from the beach tourist town 
of Tamarindo, which itself offers streets full of restaurants and 
local shops. A perfect day's adventure! 

 
Playa Grande  
  This beach is just north of Tamarindo and located within a 
National Park. More remote, it offers a great sands, 
swimming/surfing waves, relaxation and local restaurant as well. 
This beach is particularly great for long nature walks amongst an 
exciting variety of sea and land birds, crabs and other mollusks. 
Another wonderful day's adventure.  

 
Playa Pez Bella and Playa Ocotal 
  Just 2 minutes down the hill from the VILLA ESTRELLA, is our 
delightfully wonderful local beach Pez Bella. Enjoy the very 
soothing ambience and warm waters of this little black sand volcanic 
beach nestled between the surrounding hill tops. Have fun snorkeling 
along the beach shore…plenty of tropical fish to delight the eyes. 
Quench your thirst with  tropical  libations just up from the beach 
at the Picante Restaurant. You can spend a quiet afternoon here...or 
just go down for a quick 15 minute sunset dip. It’s a bit of 
paradise…

Just around the corner from Playa Bez Bella is Playa Ocotal. A more 
expansive volcanic beach and the take off and return point for all 
the boating activity. Enjoy the excellent local cuisine and 
libations at Father Rooster’s Bar and Grill right on the beach. 
 

 
Playa Naranjo 
  This is one of the world's most famous surfing spots (“Endless 
Summer”), also known as Witch's Rock. A very unique half day/day 
adventure for the pure surfing guests. Take a small speed boat on 
calm waters up the breathtaking Gulf of Papagayo and you'll get to 
Witch's Rock and surf near-perfect tubular waves.   
 



Gulf of Papagayo Adventures
The Gulf of Papagayo is one of the most beautiful bodies of water in 
the world offering a variety of water adventures.

Sailing/Snorkeling  
  Enjoy a half-day or full-day of sailing on the Gulf, basking in 
the sun as you glide over the warm waters of the gulf. Snorkel and 
swim amongst the tropical fish. Nourishments provided throughout the 
day. 
 
Scuba Diving  
   The Gulf is recognized as one of the best scuba diving locations 
in the world. From beginners to experts, it's yours to explore. 
Certified Master Scuba Divers will show you the wonders off Catalina 
and Bat Islands in the Gulf and they can provide important pre-dive 
training in the Villa's own swimming pool. All equipment is 
available. 

 
Deep Sea Fishing  
  Charter a sport fishing boats will take you on half-day or full 
day fishing trip based on what you want to accomplish. Catch 
sailfish, marlin, roosterfish, or more than 25 other varieties of 
sport fish. Captain, food, bait, tackle, and nourishments are all 
included.  
 
Shoreline Mini-Cruise  
  Enjoy a late afternoon/early evening power boat cruise along the 
gorgeous Gulf of Papagayo shoreline. Lounge on one of  the many 
secluded beaches  and enjoy cocktails and hors d'oevres as you watch 
the brilliant sunset over the water with nature's soothing sounds in 
the background.  
 

 

Tree Top Canopy, Zip Lining, Volcano, and River Rafting Tours 

Buena Vista Adventure Center and Borinquen Adventure Center  
  Choose from one of these two wonderful adventure centers located 
one and half hours from the Villa. The Adventure Centers are 
situated on the side of Rincon De la Vieja Volcano and each offers a 
full day of beauty and excitement. Experience the thrill of a Canopy 
tour and long, fun-filled mountain water slide. Ride friendly horses 
into the volcanic forests. Immerse yourself in a rich mud bath and 
cleanse yourself in the natural saunas and hot springs.  
    
White Water River Rafting 
  On a separate day, enjoy the thrills and spills of white water 
river rafting in the gradually cascading jungle waters flowing 
through Rincon De la Vieja Volcano National Park. You'll be in the 
hands of an expert rafting company and oarsmen who guide you down 
the bubbling river and through the white water rapids...3-4 per 
raft. Saftey helmets and life jackets are worn at all times. At the 
end of the three hour excursion, they'll present you with an entire 
CD of pictures that capture the entire three hour event. You'll be 
laughing all the way
 
 

Vacation Rental Rates

Villa Estrella is a five star all-inclusive Villa. Rates include 
outstanding lodging amenities, three gourmet meals a day prepared by 
private chef, full service bar and soft drinks, 24 hour service.

The rates range from $185-$300 a day per person, depending on 
season, size of group, number and age of children, scope of service, 
etc. 

We attempt to customize the final price for your stay based on these 
considerations.
