Vacation Rental Description

Boat rentals are available for our renters and others staying at Lake Keowee at a substantially  
reduced cost  !!!  (See information below) 
 
The Grandis Getaway is located on Lake Keowee in South Carolina off of Highway 188 on Petty Road,  
approximately 6 miles from the town of Seneca and only 16 miles from Clemson University.  
 
This beautiful contemporary 3,500 square-foot lakefront home comfortably sleeps up to 16 people. A  
covered dock with boat and jet  ski lifts, along with a sandy beach offers all kinds of fun for  
family and friends. 18,500 acres of water and a 300-mile shoreline make Lake Keowee a popular place  
for boating, fishing, water-skiing, swimming, camping and picnicking. Bring your boat or rent ours 
(public boat ramps nearby)and explore this pristine lake with all its natural beauty. We also  
provide a canoe and two kayaks for more leisurely excursions. No matter what the weather you’ll be  
comfortable in this air conditioned home filled with picturesque views of the lake. 
 
Our home is located in a quiet deep-water cove, perfect for fishing and swimming. Take in some sunin  
the gently sloped backyard with easy access to the lake, dock and sandy beach. A basketball court is  
located in the front yard. A long paved driveway with parking in the front and back offers ample  
parking for cars and watercraft. 
 
Enter the main floor to find three bedrooms and two baths, including a master suite with walk-in  
closet, full bath and door to the deck. Cathedral ceilings, wood flooring and a floor-to-ceiling  
stone fireplace (gas) make the central living area a space for fun gatherings with family and  
friends. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen (gas range, dish washer, refrigerator/freezer, etc…)  
has a pantry, breakfast bar and pass through window to a furnished screened porch with barbeque  
(gas). Kitchen utensils, linens and towels are provided. Cable television, DVD/VCR and free wireless  
Internet is offered on each level.  
 
As you walk downstairs you see the water through picture windows. Open the door to the backyard and  
Lake Keowee! Two spacious bedrooms each with bathrooms, laundry facilities, a kitchenette (sink,  
microwave, etc…), refrigerator/freezer, provide a separate living space for individual families. The  
downstairs common living area is made cozy by the stone fireplace (gas). Kick back and watch TV or  
play PS2 on the home theatre system with 5.1 dolby surround sound. OR!!! Head into the Movie  
Theatre !!! with theatre seating 7.1 Surround sound and a 65" HD TV(the ultimate movie pkg with  
movies on demand available at no charge) We also maintain a video library for your use. Enjoy  
playing the full-size arcade pinball machine, foosball table, electric piano and Nintendo 64,  
PlayStation 2 and Playstation 3. Check out the celestial skies with the digital telescope or play  
against the computer chess board that moves its own pieces! Or make use of the computer center, with  
high speed Internet, memory slots for your camera's cards and a printer. There are kid's toys and  
videos, board games and a large gaming table to complete the game room.  
 
 
Bed Setup: Upstairs there is a very roomy master bedroom suite with a king size bed, full bathroom,  
walk-in closet and door to the deck. There are two other bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the  
other with two twin beds.  There are 2 bedrooms downstairs that are very large. One has a queen bed  
and a set of twin bunk-beds, the other has a queen and a double futon/twin bunk bed that can also be  
made into a couch. There is also a double futon couch/bed in the movie thetre room downstairs.  
Upstairs sleeps 6 comfortably and downstairs can sleep up to 10 people. All the furnishings are  
fairly new and very comfortable. There is also a port-a-crib and high chair for an infant. 
 
*Rental of a spacious Four Winns Candia 21 foot Funboat  (seats up to 13 people), with a Volvo 250  
hp inboard/out-board engine, is available, for a charge of $1,250.00 per week ($250 daily, two-day  
minimum).** This rate is far less for this type of boat than offered by most boat rental  
establishments. Imagine pulling up to  this beautiful vacation spot and having a boat parked at your  
private covered dock for use at your leisure. Enjoy fishing, waterskiing, swimming or just lounging.  
 
Guests are expected to leave the kitchen clean and the house picked up and in good condition upon  
departure. Laundering of linens will be included in the cleaning fee.  
 
Signing a credit card damage/loss agreement or providing a fully refundable $500.00 security deposit  
upon satisfactory exit inspection is required. 
 
A 50% deposit of the entire fee is required to confirm the reservation.  Reservations are secured  
solely on deposits. The balance is due 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.  Cancellation more  
than 60 days prior to arrival will be fully refunded. For cancellations within 60 days of the  
scheduled arrival date, we will refund the taxes and damage deposit. If we are able to rebook the  
property, we will also refund a prorated share of the rental fee for each day that is filled.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Full kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, ice maker, loads of cooking utensils provided, all  
towels/linens provided.  There is kitchen seating for up to 16 people with the extra table  
available.  Floor-to-ceiling stone gas fireplaces on each level, cordless phones with free long  
distance, 2-zone central air conditioning.  Cable TV (5 televisions) with free movies on demand, 2  
VCR's, 5 DVDs, 2 CD Players, 2 separate surround sound systems.   Movie theatre with actual tiered  
movie theatre seating, a 65" HD TV, 7.1 surround sound, a bluray playstation 3 and a video and  
gaming library.  The movie theatre also contains an electric piano and fullsize arcade pinball  
machine. The activity area is complete with a large gaming table, lots of board games, playstation2,  
foosball, electronic chess, , computer station (with high speed internet, memory slots and printer) 
and a electronic stationary bike.  You will also find a high capacity washer and dryer. There is a  
gas grill (BBQ)in the screened-in porch.  Outside there is a basketball court, horseshoe pits, white  
sandy beach with a canoe and 2 kayaks, a lakefront gazebo with seating, table and swing, covered  
boat dock with jet ski lifts, gentle sloping yard, located in quiet deepwater cove.

setting.  There are 18,500 acres of water and more than 300 miles of shoreline.  Lake Keowee  
provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature.  If you enjoy water sports you will love the  
sailing, boating, water-skiing, canoeing, whitewater rafting and fishing.  The area is surrounded by  
1000's of acres of protected land with six state parks nearby and located with access to two of the  
most pristine lakes in the Southeast, Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee.  Golfers will enjoy the various  
public and private golfing options available around Lake Keowee. 
 
The town of Seneca is only minutes away.  Every modern convenience including shops, restaurants,  
grocery stores, cinemas and a bowling alley can be found there.  Lake Keowee is located only 45  
minutes from Greenville, SC, 90 minutes from Atlanta and 2 hours from Charlotte.  Only 20 minutes  
away is the town of Clemson – home of the Clemson Tigers.  In addition to their national ranked  
sports teams, Clemson's campus hosts 270 acres of Botanical Gardens and the Brooks Center for the  
Performing Arts.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates: 
 
May 25, 2008 to September 7, 2008.......$2750 weekly 
September 7, 2008 to December 1, 2008....$2150 weekly 
January 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009.......$1650 weekly 
April 1, 2008 to May 25, 2008............$2150 weekly 
 
Plus Cleaning Fee of $175 (includes laundering of linens) 
 
- Partial weeks (at least 3-night stay) are available for 295.00 per night (Dec-March) to 375.00 per  
night (Sept-Nov/April-May). 
 
 
BOAT RENTAL -- $1,250/week -- $250/ day (minimum 3 days) 
(available weekly only during summer) 
** We also rent to others staying on Lake Keowee ** 
 
BOAT DESRIPTION: 
Weekly rental of a beautiful spacious Four Winns Candia 21 foot Funboat (Seats up to 13 people),  
with a Volvo250 Horsepower inboard/outboard engine, is available for a charge of $1,250 per week  
($250 per day, minimum two days/weekly only during the summer).  We have two identical boats for  
rent.  We also rent our boats to others staying on Lake Keowee. Rental of both boats is $2,250. 
 
Signing of a credit card damage agreement or a $500.00 security deposit will be required and is  
fully refundable following a satisfactory exit inspection after the rental period.   
 
Reservations are based solely on deposits received.  A deposit must be received in order to confirm  
your stay.
