vacation rental description
***.
Best Location *Stay On The Bay* On West Grand Traverse Bay at
BayWatch Cottage, located only minutes to Traverse City and Suttons
Bay*Enjoy balmy warm breezes blowing in from West Grand Traverse Bay.
Relax on the BIG front deck overlooking the bay. NO other vacationers
nearby.
The best beach*** At BayWatch the Sandy Park Beach is directly across
the quiet residential street, a boardwalk leads to a private
waterside viewing area with park bench, bonfire firepit for evening
fun. *All water sports, great hard sand bottom, crystal clear and
clean water, wonderful for kayaking, boating, swimming. Only 2 miles
to DNR boat ramp. W.Bay is part of Lake Mich, and so has cleaner
water, bigger waves and sandier beaches, and no "swimmers itch" like
in the small inland lakes. At BayWatch, the boardwalk leads to the
Sandy Park Beach directly across from the Cottage. The best woods***
Walk along the path through the woods, take a
picnic lunch to the tree house. See beautiful towering white pines,
pileated woodpeckers, mink, deer. Complete Quiet and Solitude. No
neighbors in sight and a warm southern exposure. BayWatch is located
on the WARM side of Leelanau
Peninsula, (the West side is COLD and WINDY). Both BayWatch and
BayLoft have wooded trails to hike.
Fully furnished*** don't wait in line and Save $ by making meals in
fully equiped kitchen, enjoy dining alfresco with outdoor table and
chairs on deck overlooking the bay and Barbeque grill on patio.
*Porch has a fabulous view of the water and Power Island. Watch shore
birds, blue heron, eagles, caspian terns, hummingbirds and other
feathered friends. Total privacy, no close neighbors, just kick back
and relax.
LOTS OF ACTIVITIES *Hike in the woods, or drive a short distance to
quaint Suttons Bay. Browse the antique stores, have lunch at one of
the great little restaurants, buy a T-shirt that says "Up North", and
a yard ornament. Ride bikes on the blacktopped streets, or rent
kayaks, boats, etc.*Close to two golf courses, and 12 vinyards which
offer free tastings of local wines.
THE BEST ACCOMODATIONS BayWatch Cottage is an old fashioned "Grandma
Cottage" with real up north decor, pine floors, huge loft bedroom,
twin beds in the "Captains Quarters" plus fold out sleeper futon.
Four people would be quite comfortable, we can accomodate six. There
are also 2 roll away beds that can be used on either level. This
smoke-free property is in immaculate condition. There are NO other
vacationers close by this Guest House.
BayWatch is a stand alone cottage and has two bedroomw, (one on entry
level and huge upper level master suite) This property is private
with no other vacationers close by.
ROMANTIC *Honeymooners and newly weds will find all the peaceful
privacy they would like, come celebrate your wedding anniversary here
too. There are no close neighbors at either property, total privacy.
HAVE A REAL VACATION!......
OR BRING THE KIDS The dining area table for indoor meals. Additional
table and 4 chairs on the big porch, for dining with a view of the
bay!
BEST VALUE *why stay in an old buggy log cabin on a murky inland lake
when you can stay in a nice clean new cottage, with sparkling clean
West Bay water for the same rate?
