Vacation Rental Description

Huckleberry Point is a 2 story home on 1/2 acre of  
private land and 150 feet of private beach frontage.  The frontage  
is ideal for swimming and fishing as there is a gradual decline from  
the house's beach into the water.  There is a pier for docking water  
equipment, fire and horse shoe pits, and a volleyball area in the  
expansive yard.  The wrap around deck is perfect for outdoor seating  
and dining as is the platform near the beach.  The jacuzzi hot tub  
is located next to the deck and affords a spectacular view of the  
lake. 
 
Inside, the house has panoramic views of Dewey Lake through its  
large sliding glass doors the great room which also features 25 foot  
ceilings and plenty of space for day/evening lounging. There is a  
dining area adjacent to the kitchen and additional dining capacity  
in the great room.    
 
The house has 5 bedrooms (2 on the main level and 3 upstairs)as well  
as a lofted area that has two twin murphy beds and two double  
trundle beds.  One bathroom is on the main level and the other is on  
the upper level.

Activities and Attractions

All the "fun in the sun" your heart desires!  Two nearby marinas  
rent jet skis, pontoon and motor boats.  There are several fantastic  
golf courses within 10-30 minutes of Sister Lakes.   
 
Local farms provide an abundant harvest for the many roadside stands- 
-from strawberries to melons and corn to tomoatoes--they grow it all  
in Michigan!  
  
Southwest Michigan is also known for its numerous wineries--most are  
within a 20 minute drive from Sister Lakes--a wine trail map is  
available.   
 
Hiking and cycling trails abound - Dowagiac is home to  
the reknowned Steve's Run 10K in late July.   
 
Sister Lakes also bodes a drive-in movie theater, roller rink,  
bowling alley, and several bars and restaurants.   
 
For a bit of culture, the Beckwith Theater puts on  
several productions each summer, and the Dogwood Fine Arts Festival  
brings a host of artists to the area.   
 
August also brings the Rod and Roll Classic Auto Show to town.

Vacation Rental Rates

High season, mid June through Labor Day weekend are weekly rentals only  
with check-in on Saturday at noon and check out on Friday at 3:00  
p.m.-6 nights total.
