Harbor Country Cottages 90 minutes from Chicago. Pets OK! in Lakeside

Two charming country cottages less than a block from a
private homeowners' association beach in the small town of Lakeside
near Union Pier--less than an hour and a half from Chicago's Loop!
Each cottage sleeps up to six people--there is one bedroom with a
king size bed, one bedroom with two twin beds and there is a queen
size sleeper sofa in the living room. Each cottage has one bathroom
with a combination shower/one-person whirlpool tub. Dining for six
indoors or out on the huge screened porch. Enjoy our lovely gardens.
Cottages are fully heated and
airconditioned and also feature skylights and ceiling fans. Please

FREE WiFi! The cottage has a wood burning fireplace
(wood provided) as well as
a washer/dryer. The kitchens are fully equipped with dishwasher,
toaster, coffee maker etc and pots/pans, utensils and
dishes/glassware. Phone, cable tv, vcr, cd player are also included.
Huge screened porch has outdoor dining furniture as well as
adirondack style chairs
for enjoying morning coffee, evening cocktails or a summer dinner.
Beautiful linens,
including down comforters, as well as towels, including beach
towels, are included. Beach chairs are also provided. Well behaved
pets are permitted with a $50 pet
fee.

Walk less than a block to the wide sandy shore of Lake Michigan to
swim, sun, snooze, play in the sand or enjoy fantastic sunsets.
Stroll along the beach for miles! There is hiking in nearby Warren
Dunes State Park, wineries to visit and many antiques shops to
explore. Cook out on the charcoal grill (get your produce from the
farmstand and meat from the local butcher) or eat at any of the
local restaurants--the cottages are just minutes from cafes, casual
and fine dining restaurants. Visit the pumpkin farms, enjoy
beautiful fall color or snuggle
up by the fire as lake effect snow dusts the cottage--Harbor Country

Great Escape!!!This was our first trip to this area from Chicago. So
quiet and beautiful it enchanted us. The locals and other visitors
were warm and welcoming. Lots of dogs frolicing at the beach. The
sunset was breathtaking. The Cotswold is perfect-Shawn has really
thought of everything.

I can't imagine a better place to have spent my birthday with all of
my friends and family surrounding me here at the cottage that is so
close to home, but once you're here it's a thousand miles away.

Our family of five, plus puppy, had a great week; Berry picking,
Timbertown playground and coffee at the Whistle Stop. What a
relaxing vacation.

We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary for a week. The food was
superb-from the Blue Plate (banana French toast & watermelon
lemonade)to Miller's, (everything's great there). The antique
stores, golfing and winery tours kept us busy. The little blue
cottage was always welcoming us back each evening after returning
from our day's adventures.

Absolutely wonderful little getaway! Winter at the beach was
breathtaking. My husband and I will be back for a romantic weekend.

the end of June through August (Check in 5 pm EDT on Friday, check
out the following Friday by 11am EDT). Memorial Day and Labor Day
