Largest vacation house downtown!  Great walk-everywhere location--2 blocks to Plaza or Canyon Road!   
Perfectly located on a quiet street right in downtown  
Santa Fe, Capitol Casa is a lovely home with a huge hot tub  
seating 7 in a private garden. Small or large groups are comfortably  
accommodated in three bedrooms, a fourth bedroom/den and a second  
den, with three full bathrooms. Flexible rates make it accessible for  
small groups of 4 or large of up to 15 people. No need to organize  
drives to town or to walk a mile or more--you can stroll everywhere in the downtown core and pop  
back to the house for a rest or to unload your shopping bags! 
 
Featured in the May 2006 issue of Old House Journal! Built in the  
1920's, the carefully updated adobe house is beautifully  
furnished with a tasteful mix of neat antiques, plush sofas and firm  
beds. Original art by New Mexico artists and Southwest artifacts are  
on display, and richly colored Oriental rugs brighten the oak floors  
throughout. Fine cotton sheets, thick towels, robes, down pillows and  
duvets will give you a luxurious experience. The house is  
thoughtfully stocked to make your stay pleasant, including two  
stereos, four cable TV's, and a video collection of movies made in  
Santa Fe. Free wifi. Sundries such as laundry soap and robes are supplied. The  
hot tub has a cover lifter for easy access. 
 
A spacious den/bedroom with game table, desk, TV and stereo is  
downstairs, nicely separated from the bedrooms. A second den offers  
more room to spread out. Capitol Casa is approximately 2,500 square feet,  
plus the big front porch with old-fashioned glider, antique bench and patio chairs. The garden patio  
has plenty of seating, sun umbrella, dining tables, gas and charcoal grills, hot tub and view to the  
mountains.  
The neat kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, new appliances,  
china and flatware for 15, plus the original high-backed sink and  
pine cabinets. Carport and off-street parking for 2 cars onsite, more  
nearby. In the next block are playgrounds with multiple play  
structures and basketball hoops. Airport shuttle services will drop  
off and pick up at the house.  Proper zoning for unlimited short term rentals.

Accommodations: Sleeps up to 10 in beds, 4 in sleeper sofas, 1 in  
rollaway. Rates are based on 8 people, to allow small or large groups  
to enjoy the house.

* Large bedroom/den has 2 twin daybeds, plus choice of 2 twins  
(trundle) or king, rollaway twin, two dressing areas in walk-in  
closets; game table, cable TV & VCR/DVD, stereo, games. It works well as a  
second living room, with good separation for the kids. 
* Den has queen sleeper sofa.

the mountain, hike in the mountains, or take the kids to the  
playgrounds down the street. Explore the fascinating surrounding  
region with numerous Indian pueblos and interesting ruins.  Come home  
and relax in the big bubbling hot tub before you gather for drinks on  
the breezy front porch. Then walk to dinner at one of Santa Fe's many  
fine restaurants.  

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates are based on 8 people, flexible to accommodate small groups as  
well as large. Over 8 people, add $30 per person per night.  
Children are welcome, and count as people too.  Babies in parent's  
bed or portacribs are not counted. 
3/1-5/31/08, $425/night. 4 night minimum. $2,550 week. 
6/1-10/31/08, $450/night. 5 night minimum. $2,700 week.   
11/1-12/19/08, $400/night, 3 night minimum.  $2,400 week. 
1/3-2/29/08,  $400/night, 3 night minimum. $2,400 week. 
3/1-4/30/09, $425/night. 4 night minimum. $2,550 week. 
5/1-10/31/09, $450/night. 5 night minimum. $2,700 week. 
Shorter bookings accepted for infill year-round, and within one month of arrival. 
Thanksgiving week, 11/18-11/27/08 $3,500 week/$500 night. 7 night  
minimum. (reserved) 
Christmas week, 12/19-12/26/08, 7 night minimum. $3,500 week/$500 
night. (reserved)
