Remodeled beach house in a great location that is convenient
yet quiet with easy parking. Renovation and 2nd floor construction in 2004, with even more improvements annually! Well maintained.

2012 UPDATE: We have completely replaced the 1st floor bathroom, added a half bath and replaced all carpets on first floor with a hardwood laminate.  Pictures will be updated soon.

1st floor retains the charm of the original cottage with a cozy family room and 3BRs on first floor *bedding is BR 1: queen, BR 2: Queen with attached  half bath, BR 3: 2 singles) plus 1 bathroom with tub/shower, kitchen with full size refrigerator, new stove, dishwasher, sink, microwave etc. New 1st floor covered (and now screened-in)front porch and rear deck leads to large open back yard with shade tree, enclosed outside hot/cold shower, and charcoal grill for cookouts.
Upstairs, enjoy 2 brand new bedrooms facing rear yard (bedding is BR 4: full and BR 5: queen) and another full bathroom attached to one bedroom. 

To use a car analogy, our house is like a well-maintained 3 year old Honda Accord. Reliable, everything you need, not huge, not a Lexus. If you have any questions after reading all the info here and on our own web site, just ask me. It's best for everyone if you get exactly what you expect.

- New central air conditioning/heat system,  New windows, Cozy Living Room with 2 sofas and a chair,  New, fully equipped kitchen (table seats 4, plus bar w/ 4 stools, full size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, plates, glasses, utensils, pans, provided.  Covered first floor front porch that is now also screened-in (you can hear the waves crashing in the distance, at night). Large Rear deck (where most people hang out and have their meals). Quiet street-close to beach. Ample free parking on street (never a problem - unique area). Sorry, no pets. Pillows, and a blanket provided for each bed. Linens (towels, sheets, pillow cases, bath mats provided by tenant).house with a "shore cottage" feel. The rooms are not large, but renovated or new and very well maintained. Unlike other listings, this house sleeps 8-10 in beds!:) when renting the 5 BR house (not on floor or sleeper sofas like most places. There are no sofa beds nor is there extra floor space...but there are 5 bedrooms and beds for the amount of people allowed) Beach chairs

Cape May has it all - for all types. And all Fall, there are great
events, like Victorian Week, The Food and Wine Festival, Fall Jazz
Fest, etc. Of course, there are great beaches - Cape May has been
ranked one of the top beaches in the US - one of the nicest being
just up the street (it is about 300 yards. You will pass about 5
houses and one hotel on the way. ((the blocks are narrow because they run parallel to the beach, so you pass over 3 streets with only 2 houses or one hotel on each block))There is a nice boardwalk for
running, walking, shops and some amusements and a theater across the street. The historic district is a short 4-6 block walk.

2013 Pricing and Availability “Cottage on Maryland Avenue” –(NEW as of 6/10/13)  Our home is available for rent only as a 5BR/2.5 BA during the peak summer season for the 5-7 night stays as they are listed in the rate details section and it sleeps up to 10 max including children. 

We have two unique rental opportunities that start 6/28: These are the only opportunities in the prime summer season to rent just 1st floor or a long weekend.

1. If you have 6 or less people including kids: Rent just 1st floor 3BR with full kitchen family room deck, screened porch; just not the 2 Bedrooms upstairs.)Fri 6/28 – Fri 7/5 $2795 for the week OR $2395 for Fri to Thur.
2. If you only have time for a long weekend: Fri 6/28–Mon 7/1, 1st floor (sleeps up to 6) is $1695 OR 5 BR (sleeps up to 10) is $1895. Fri-Tues is also a possiblity, email for rate.

Note: In the Spring and Fall (Sept through mid-June only) our house can be rented as the 5BR, or as 3BR 1st floor only rental sleeping up to 6 - weekly, midweek or long weekend. We simply lock off 2nd floor to be more appealing in size and price for couples and small families who tend to want smaller places. See below for those rates.

We'll try to accommodate if you need a different scenario of dates between Sept and mid-June, just email us. We don’t have much if any flexibility in the Summer and cannot accommodate shorter stays or 1stfloor requests between mid-June and Labor Day.

Cleaning service charges $95 (65 when 3BR)

Sec. deposit is $500.

1/2 payment due with signed lease. Remainder and sec. deposit due approx. 1 mo prior to check in.

Tenant provides linens or may arrange for them with a local linen service.

Sorry, no pets. No smoking inside.

Capacity maximums = 10 people including kids for 5BR rentals, 6 for 3 BR.

Renters: Leases and deposit should be mailed back to landlord within 2 days to hold your time.

Minimum stay: Summer season – stays offered as listed in rates details section. Other seasons: 3 night minimum.

Check in is 3 pm, check out is 10 am.
