If you are looking for a mountain vacation rental in Southern California, Lake Arrowhead has been a weekend mountain retreat and vacation rental destination for San Diego and Los Angeles since 1900. The Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead area are known for winter skiing and for summer, lake sports as well as for the beauty of the San Bernardino National Forest. A vintage, California, three bedroom, cabin with both lake and mountain views make this vacation rental one of the most unique, mountain cabin rentals in Southern California. We have a website. Boulder Crest is an historic 1920’s cabin built on top of great
boulders looking over Lake Arrowhead. This is the mountain-cabin
fantasy come true - except that it comes with new mattresses, washer
and dryer, chrome cookware and all of the things that maintain the
romance without sacrificing the comforts.
Boulder Crest occupies a double lot, which allows for privacy,
outside recreation and parking for four cars. This beautifully
preserved cabin was featured on the Lake Arrowhead Home Tour. Until
recently the cabin has never been rented.
The romantic interior is all wood with a large, rock fireplace. It
includes three bedrooms (two of which overlook the lake) and two
bathrooms. Boulder Crest is ideal for sharing since
the “bunkroom”, which contains two double beds built into the pine walls, has its own entrance, bath and deck. There is a queen-size bed in the main bedroom; a double bed in the guest bedroom; two doubles in the
bunkroom. New down comforters and pillows are included for each bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped, including an O’keefe and Merrit
stove.
There is a barbecue on the very large deck overlooking the lake. Wi-fi,
Cable TV, VCR, CD player,coffee maker, microwave, washer and dryer
are also included. There are two thermostat-controlled furnaces.
Linen service is available at a nominal cost.
The cabin, which is within walking distance to Arrowhead Village,
also comes with access to the dock on the lake and a pass to the
beach clubs. We do not keep the online calendar so please check directly with us for availability or check Homeway (listing # 28104) for our calendar there. We are available for weekly rental and weekend rentals as well.
vacation rental rates
Boulder Crest rents for 1,200- 1,800 per week (depending on season
and holidays). Weekends at $700 depending on availability. A monthly rate is available. Credit cards accepted.*
*There is a $500 (refundable) damage deposit and a $100 cleaning fee, which includes supply of towels and linens.
