The Cooperage Inn:Elegant turn of the century suite of rooms in Sonoma

The Cooperage was built in 1911 as an ice house and brewery, then later
made barrels to serve the wine and beer industry in 1924. Now a
gracious Inn upstairs and art studio and gallery downstairs, this
romantic wine country acommodation is unique and luxurious with fine
hand picked antiques and original art. As an extra acommodation, this
large one bedroom , one bath (The MIlano Suite) can open a door to reveal two
bedrooms and another beautiful bath with clawfoot tub and double marble
sinks (The Bonnemort Suite). This then becomes a three bedroom, two full bath suite that
sleeps four to six people. Pleas call us for rates regarding this
arrangement.

Petaqnque Courts across the street as well as two lovely parks next to
the property. Both hosts work in the fine arts, one as a painter and
the other as a photographer and printer for themselves as well as other

The little City of Sonoma is a charming place that produces big wines.
Wineries abound. Reet a car or better yet, take a wine tour in a
limousine with a guide.Spas provide relaxation and if you prefer, you
can order a massage in your suite. Sonoma's bike path starts a few
steps away and winds through the vineyards. Boutiques, and restaurants
dot the historic plaza. Many grand events take place here such as
Sonoma's "Salute to the Arts" in July showcasing all the fine and
applied arts that come from the valley; wine, fine art paintings,
sculture, music drama ,liturature, and food. The Sonoma Jazz Festival,
a new addition, is quickly becoming famous. Cinima Epicuria, Our Film
Festival is a gala event as well a the Red and White Ball every summer
in the Plaza. Play the French game of Petanque with the locals across
the street or have a picnic in the plaza at the Tuesday evening
Farmer's market where live music is always going. In the Winter, The
Olive Festival provides a many dates of fabulous events. There's always
lots to do. Or stay home by the fire and play cards.
