vacation rental description

Watch the Fine Living Channel where our furnished flats were selected to represent San Francisco in the series "Around the Worldin 80 Homes". Where the series declares it a “great place to stay” and that “you’ll have the urban experience of a lifetime at this home in much loved San Francisco.”

This flat is a true find. A newly restored Victorian flat that sits on the beautiful slopes of San Francisco's Telegraph Hill in the North Beach District. The flat is 1200 square feet and has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the guest bedroom has two twin-sized beds. The flat has an eat-in gourmet kitchen that is fully equipped. There are one and a half baths. The full bath is a grand bath modeled after the elegant Victorian style of the 19th century. It has a Jacuzzi, a chandelier, custom cherry cabinets, a solid cherry arch over the Jacuzzi, hand carved cherry corbels, a marble counter and marble floor. You will feel like royalty bathing in this bathroom! The half bath also includes alaundry facility. Included in this unit is an office with high-speed wireless Internet access. The living room has a surround sound system and satellite television. The living room is in a theater room style. The flat itself is on the first level of the building and has a private entrance. It is very convenient to access. We have lived in this flat in order to ensure the highest quality. We found this flat to be the coziest and the best for a family with kids. We miss living in our little gem of a flat. It is very conducive to good living and good memories.

Come and see why the American Planning Association consistently rates this beautiful neighborhood as the best in the nation.

You'll love this quiet charming home.  You'll also fall in love with this hidden neighborhood, nestled in the hub of San Francisco's vibrant "Barbary Coast".

activities and attractions in San Francisco San Francisco Bay Area

This is certainly San Francisco's most vibrant and exciting district. In fact, if you come to San Francisco and stay anywhere else, you will find yourself spending much of your time in or near this district for most of your stay. Statistics have shown that 90% of all visitors come to this district while staying in San Francisco.  So then the question is; "Why stay anywhere else?"

The neighborhood is European in flavor with its hidden stairways and allies. Walk only a few short blocks and find yourself in the theater district, art galleries, museums, or in the middle of dozens of great restraunts, sidewalk bistros and cafes. The air is filled with the aroma of baking focaccia bread, roasting coffee beans, steamed crab, grilled meats, and sauteed garlic. When the flowers are in bloom the scent of star jasmine is everywhere. Here you will find an exceptional night life with live music, dancing, bars, and breweries. California'a beauty is everywhere from the top of her many hills to the Bay. Almost every street gives you a new and different spectacular angle of the City and the Bay. This neighborhood is so centralized that you do not even need a car. Nearly everything is within a short or moderate walk. Try walking to most of San Francisco's greatest attractions; Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Chinatown, The Crooked Street, The Financial District, Coit Tower, The Embarcadero, The Filbert Steps, The Moscone Center, The Saint Francis Yacht Club, The Restaurant District, The Theater District, Union Square shopping, museums, art galleries, The Marina, Fort Mason, Fort Point, Beaches, The Embarcadero, cable cars, trolleys and much, much more.

traveler reviews for this san francisco condo rental

Very nice and well located

Peter G. ()
Review submitted: September 5, 2011   Date of arrival: July 20, 2011

Very nicely decorated and very well equipped apartment. We immediately felt at home thanks to the friendly atmosphere in the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed. Big and good quality fridge, stove, microwave oven, etc. in the kitchen. Wireless and cable connected Internet, and even a printer, which was useful for printing tickets bought online and well as boarding passes for our return flight. We also made ample use of the washing machine and tumble dryer. Small things that made us feel well looked after was the presence of basics such as salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc. as well as tablets for the dishwasher, detergent for the washing machine, shampoo, etc., etc.

We enjoyed the location close to the Italian quarter with many restaurants and cafe's around Washington Square and on Grant Ave., Filbert St., etc. which was only 5-10 minutes walk away. Our children also enjoyed playing soccer on the nearby Joe DiMaggio Playground. Fisherman's Wharf (spoilt and touristic though) was also only 10 minutes away. We spent five days in San Francisco and visited many parts of town, and when leaving the was no doubt that North Beach was the best place to stay.

Nice home, spotty cell and internet

Michele (Southeast)
Review submitted: May 25, 2011   Date of arrival: May 17, 2011

Very nice home with everything you need. My only criticism is that if you have AT&T as your cell provider, you will have very spotty if no cell reception except in the front room of the home. Also, the wifi that is available is very spotty as well and makes it very difficult to have internet access except in the front room of the home and even then the connection speed is so slow that sometimes you just have to give up. If you are a traveler counting on being able to work or make your daily sight-seeing plans using the internet, this could be frustrating.

Owners response: As far as cell coverage, we don't have any control over signal strength inside the condo or the neighborhood. In respect to wireless connectivity; If certain laptops have problems with the wireless that is provided, then we also offer a DSL landline in the office. This ensures that everyone will always have access to high speed internet coverage.

We always try to greet our new tenants on the first day in order to welcome them and familiarize them with the condominium. The very last thing we always say to our new tenants before handing over the keys is, "if you ever have any problems or questions, please feel free to contact us and we will assist." This is also stated in our condominium guest book, where it contains all of our contact information. We are also on-site owners (we live next door), so if there are ever any issues we are always nearby to help. In any event, we were never made aware that this tenant was having any a problems. Had we been contacted, it appears that we could have easily resolved the issue. But we are very pleased that they enjoyed the flat and we welcome all reviews!

wonderful place to stay

alice (Vancouver, BC Canada)
Review submitted: April 9, 2011   Date of arrival: March 25, 2011

We spent 5 nights in San Francisco & had the best family holiday. The apartment was absolutely perfect! From the central location to the beautiful decor we could not have asked for a better place to stay. We enjoyed walking to all the places we wanted to see, from pier 39, fisherman's wharf, shopping downtown, MOMA, china town & the cartoon museum. Charles was a perfect host and so very helpful! We were a family of 4 with 2 older children & this place was a perfect place to spend time together, but with enough space not to feel crowded. The neighbourhood is really beautiful with all the victorian architecture we enjoyed walking in the area. Just 1/2 block away from Coit Tower with its wonderful views of all San Francisco. I would love to go back tomorrow & would hightly recommend this rental property. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you.
