Palm trees and native vegetation lend a casual tropical garden feel
to this luxurious, three-level Florida-style house with 2 porches
overlooking spectacular views of the Gulf. The grounds include
secluded sunny or shady seating areas and a short, private path to
your very own stretch of beach. Inside, large groups can
comfortably gather in the modern, fully-equipped kitchen, the two
dining areas, and the light, airy great room, but other seating
areas, inside and out, tempt couples to grab a good book or beach
chairs and find get-away spots of their own. All doors leading to
the pool are armed with alarms and the pool is entirely fenced with
self-locking gates.
The master bedroom suite on the uppermost level includes a king-size
bed, TV/VCR, wet bar, small reading room, a spacious mirrored bath
with jacuzzi tub and separate glass-walled shower, and a private
sunning porch with Gulf view.
The master bedroom on the main level offers a king-size bed, TV,
Gulf view from the glass door-wall and screened porch. It connects
via a full-size bathroom to another guest bedroom with 2 twin
beds. There is an additional half-bath on this floor, as well. The
great room includes an entertainment center with CD
player, TV, VCR, and DVD player.
Yet another family can comfortably spread out on the lower level,
which includes a bedroom with queen-size bed connecting to a sitting
room with TV, a large private bath, and a spacious, accommodating
family room with TV/VCR/DVD player, table and chairs for
games/puzzles, small refrigerator, and a fold-out queen sleeper
sofa.
Laundry facilities on the main level, closets, and storage spaces
are conveniently located.
One of Captiva's top restaurants, the Green Flash, offers excellent
bay-side dining just a short walk from the house. Other
restaurants, galleries, and shopping are just minutes away on this
small island paradise.
You can rent kayaks and explore Roosevelt Channel and the inlets and
canals of Buck Key or engage a boat/guide to adventure out into Pine
Island Sound to fish, go shelling, or have lunch on Cabbage Key or
exclusive Collier Island. Osprey and other shore birds, dolphins
and manatee are all there to greet island visitors, and Beach Sweet
Beach offers some of the best sunset views available anywhere in
south Florida.
Weekly rates vary, depending upon the time of year, from $4,500/week
during high season to $3,500/week at other times.
