private Beach House, Casa del Sol, on the Yucatan Peninsula's Gulf of Mexico! This comfortable,
spacious beach house is a home away from home and offers beautiful ocean views and
fresh sea breezes day and night. Just a few steps out your door and your private beach gate opens
onto a white sandy beach that you can explore for miles. Swim, snorkel, sail, kayak, fish in the
warm aqua-blue waters of the Gulf. Its gentle sloping sandy floor is perfect for wading,swimming,
or shelling. The outside stairs lead to the upper deck of the house where you can spend hours
reading, sunning, or admiring great views of the sea, breathtaking sunsets, and star filled night
skies.

English satellite TV which offers HBO, Showtime, TMC, Fox sports channels, NFL, news and more.
DVD/CD/VCR unit, movies on DVDs.

Full kitchen: 18 cu.ft. refrigerator, full size range, microwave,

Celestun is famous for its many seafood restaurants and offers other
activities such as wildlife viewing, canoe trips into the tropical
rain forests, boat trips to the feeding grounds of the pink
flamingos and other tropical birds, nature hikes through the
wildlife refuge, biking, and fishing trips. Your host can arrange boat
trips that will pick you up in front of the house!
For your shopping needs, the town market offers a variety of fruits
and vegetables while fresh fish, seafood, poultry, pork and beef can
be purchased in the city meat markets. Most staples can be found at
the corner groceries, and freshly baked breads and pastries are
available daily.
Merida, an hour from Celestun by car, offers great shopping, dining,
art and historical museums, ballet, orchestra performances, theater,
and numerous sight-seeing tours. Organized tours are available to
the Maya Ruins of Uxmal, Chichen Itza, and the Ruta Puuc. Other
sites of interest include several restored Colonial Haciendas, the
Cenotes, and the Caves of Lotuum.
