"Skydances Mountain Cabin" is a cozy 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin located on 6 acres in the lovely private community of Piney Mountain in Polk county's Saluda Township just south of Hendersonville off I-26.   From South Carolina, it is the second exit inside of NC.  No need to drive any further, the air is clean up here and the weather is much cooler than Charleston, Greenville, or Florida! 

A stone's throw and you are connected to miles of hiking on state-owned lands and community trails!  All right outside the door of this mountain hideaway. Pick up the groceries and put away the car keys and RELAX!  You could easily spend a week relaxing and hiking from this cabin barely getting in your car!

Historic Downtown Saluda is just a short jaunt back down Holbert Cove Road. Wonderful restaurants and quaint shops make this town a favorite with all of our visitors.  Nearby Green Creek offers two wineries for a delicious diversion. 

Feel like taking in more of the Smokey Mountain countryside?  You can go hiking in the Great Smokies or along the Blue Ridge Parkway, shop in Hendersonville, or dining & touring in Asheville --- all easily accessible!  Popular tourist attractions include Asheville's Biltmore Estate, the Carl Sandburg home in nearby Flat Rock, Lake Lure, and much more. 

You can make your stay as busy or as peaceful as you like.

"Skydances Mountain Cabin" affords a fantastic covered porch with a GREAT BIG view of White Oak Mountain.  Listen to the drumming of the Pileated Woodpeckers over your morning coffee and the whispering waters of the
