This beautiful cottage/home is nestled in the woods on sandy Spider
Lake, an all-sports lake. The cottage is fully renovated and sleeps
8 comfortably. It is tastefully decorated in northwoods, has
leather sofa, natural log beds, quilts and linens. The cottage is
heated, has a large deck, washer/dryer,WIFI, flat screen cable TV and a VCR/DVD, CD
player, games and a phone. Included is a brand new fully equiped kitchen with
dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, all pots and pans, and dishes.
All linens and towels are provided as is an initial supply of paper
products and soaps.

The cottage has three queen beds, twin bunk beds and one bath with a
tub and shower. It is very spacious with a view of the lake from
every room.


The forty foot deck has porch furniture and a grill and assures
ample space for you outdoor enjoyment. A dock and nice sandy beach
with firepit are part of the package. There is also a use-at-your-
own-risk row boat for fishing and a kayak as well as an 11 ft. float for sunbathing and swimming. Public lake access is nearby to put in your boat or jet ski.

No smoking and non-handicapped accessible.

This lakefront home is remote and quiet and the property is wooded.
Water recreation on Spider Lake includes swimming, fishing and
boating. Spider Lake is known for its warm water, sand bottom with
great coves and islands to explore. Motors are allowed on the lake
and fish include bass, perch and blue gill.

The cottage is only 15 minutes to downtown Traverse City. Close by
are great shopping, dining, golf, tennis, jet skiing, parasailing,
horseback riding, hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling and the VASA
Trail. 40 minutes away are beautiful lighthouses, The Sleeping Bear
Sand Dunes, quaint towns and villages to explore and wine
country...and Mackinaw Island is only 2 hours away.

This Traverse City area getaway cottage/home is available for rent
all year. Rental rates are:
Early June and late August through Labor Day: $1550/week
Late June through July until mid-August: $1950/week
Off season: 3 night mimimun stay starting at $150/night or $1050/week
Pets:  There is a fee for dogs

Home Away From Home

We've stayed at several rental properties and this was by far the best. We tend to cook more meals in than eat out and I found the kitchen had absolutely every thing (and more!) I needed, including spices! The outdoor gas grill is a real plus also. The home is very nicely decorated with that "up north" feel. I was surprised at how spacious and comfortable it was. I really appreciated the wi-fi service and LAN line. At times my getaways must include some work time and once again, I had everything I needed to do this. Traverse City was really busy during the time we were there and we loved the fact that we were so close to all that was going on but each day when we arrived back at "home", we were away from the crowds in such a quiet, peaceful setting. There is so much to do in the area, we needed much more than a week to see/do it all. The view of the lake from the house was fantastic and we loved sleeping in the loft and hearing the rain on the sky lights. I haven't slept that good in ages! It was great to have the fire pit down at the beach. I wish the weather had been better for us to go out in the rowboat! Lastly, I must comment on the cleanliness of the home when we arrived. One of my pet peeves is arriving on vacation and spending the first day cleaning it to make it livable. This was not the case at this home. My thanks to the owner for sharing such a clean, comfortable home for our vacation. We will definitely be back!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing

This cottage rental has it all!!

We were very impressed with our stay and accommodations at Beautiful Spider Lake. The pics do not do it justice. The inside has spectacular views of the lake. It was very clean and roomy! The outside of the cottage and deck look like they have been recently painted. The beach was the perfect size and the water was crystal clear. We loved how quiet this area is! The lot features numerous mature trees which gave us a feeling of privacy and tranquility. The location in relation to all the many activities that surround the Traverse City area was a perfect hub to enjoy it all! We would recommend this place to all our family and friends and would definitely stay again.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
