Higgins Beach Rental
Year-round residence located at Higgins Beach in Scarborough Maine.
Spacious, modern, well maintained and less than 1/2 block from
beautiful Higgins Beach. Enjoy half mile of sandy beach and fish in
the Spurwink River. House is within a short walk of vegetable stand
and store, and two restaurants.
This home has 3 bedrooms. The large master bedroom has a king
size bed and 2 twin beds in an adjoining room. The two other
bedrooms each have full size double beds. In addition, there is a
queen sized sofa bed in the living room. It has a full bath with
tub/shower and a 1/2 bath, a hot/cold outdoor shower and 3 season
porch with ceiling fan.
First floor is open front to back. The fully equipped kitchen
includes a breakfast counter and opens to the large living/dining room
area.
No smoking, no pets and no RVs allowed.

Higgins Beach is a quiet coastal community with a white sandy beach
and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. A scenic rocky coastline
extends to the south and the Spurwink River is to the north.
It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Maine and was featured as
one of Down East Magazine's best hidden beaches. The community has
its own Club House that hosts Wednesday morning breakfast, dinners,
outdoor concerts and poker nights.
Scarborough is home to many activities and attractions: Maine's
largest salt marsh with canoe rentals at the Nature Center; Winslow
Homer House on Prouts Neck; Scarborough Beach State Park; horse
racing at Scarborough Downs; Beech Ridge Motor Speedway; and many
golf courses.
Scarborough is conveniently located 7 miles south of Portland (Old
Port; museums; concerts; whale watching; Casco Bay ferry). It is
between Cape Elizabeth (Portland Headlight; Fort Williams Park; Two
Lights State Park; Lobster Shack restaurant; Crescent Beach State
Park) and Saco (Old Orchard Beach; Ferry Beach State Park; Funtown
USA; Aquaboggan Water Park).
We are a short drive to most southern Maine attractions, the Maine
Mall, Outlet stores, L.L. Bean, restaurants, movie theaters and lots
of things to see and do.
