Beautiful views, powder fine sand, perfect location, and usually
lots of sunshine. What a place for a great vacation! Our condo is
located on the Gulf side of Siesta Key just off the city of
Sarasota. The complex is called Midnight Cove and is a small,
friendly environment.
Crescent Beach is four miles of pure white sand, recognized by the
National Geographic as one of the 10 Best Beaches in the world! The
sand feels like warm powdered sugar under your bare feet. When the
Gulf water is warm (most months) it is a great place for swimming.
Our walk-up second floor condo overlooks the pool and the gulf.(The
above picture on the right is the view from our living room!)
We see fantastic sunsets from our unit, but also enjoy gathering with others on the beach to watch for the 'green flash'. The bathrooms are fairly new with a large shower in the Master bath and the closets are now beautiful built-ins with several closets and drawers. There is a queen-sized bed in the Master
bedroom and twin beds in the other bedroom. There is an
HDTV/VCR/DVD in the living room and TV/VCR/DVD in the Master bedroom. Having rented other condos I am now aware of how fully equiped our unit is compared to others...lots of kitchen items.
The view from our lanai is of the pool and beautiful Gulf, in fact,
the Gulf is also visible from the kitchen! No smoking or pets
allowed in the condo.
Midnight Cove provides beach lounge chairs and umbrellas. There is
a beach guard to help you with the umbrella. Ours is one of the few
complexes with that service!
condo rental amenities
high speed internet: phone with domestic, free, long distance; air-conditioning; cable HDTV, VCR, DVD, CD player; full kitchen, microwave, dishwaster, refrigerator, ice maker, cooking utensils; linens; 2 heated swimming pools, two tennis courts, covered parking, gas grill, charcoal grill; inside, many games for children or adults, books, etc.
We are presently Nov. 2009) renting another unit in our complex as part of our family is in our unit. This is what we have learned. The unit we are in is very nicely decorated and not nearly as well equipped as our unit. As an example: we try to leave all paper products in our unit like paper towels, etc. but there are NONE in this unit which means the renter must buy all of those things. We have learned that one can use paper towel in place of coffee filters, but you needn't do that in our unit! Just one example. There are NO playing cards or games in this unit, but ours has a variety of both. We want you to feel as if our condo is your home.
activities and attractions in Siesta Key Gulf Coast Central
Sail boats and kyyaks can be rented on the beach. Across the street
there is a marina where you can rent boats, bikes and fishing gear.
There is bus service from Midnight Cove to downtown Sarasota,
various malls, Siesta Village with its shops and restaurants.
Within walking distance there are several very good restaurants, a
drug store, grocery/deli, and various shops. We recommend going to
visit the Van Wezel Hall of Performing Arts, the John Ringling
Museum, Myaaka State Park and St. Armand's Circle. A list of our
favorite restaurants, golf courses, and special sites can be found in
the etagere in our condo.
