Montana Lake Home in Bull Lake

3 story cedar sided home is located on Bull lake (Angel Island), in
Northwest Montana 15 miles south of Troy (Montana). Bull Lake is a
short, 60 miles from Sandpoint Idaho, and 2-hour drive from Spokane
(Washington), or, Kalispell (Montana).
The upper floor boasts two bedrooms (each with queen bed) and a full
bath. On the main floor you will find a third bedroom (queen bed),
full bath, full kitchen, and living room (with sleeper sofa) and
fireplace. The lower level consists of a large family room (with
piano, wet bar and beverage refrigerator, fold down couch), office
(lightly furnished), 1/2 bath and laundry room. Just outside the
door you will fine a glass enclosed hot tub room. Furniture is
comfortable and tasteful. The hardwood floor, open beams, cedar
waist board and accents give the home a cabin feel. The large
windows and doors make it light and friendly. You'll find a TV
(Satellite with multiple channels), VCR, DVD and stereo in the
living room and a TV and VCR on the lower level. The large deck on
the main floor (facing the water and wetland) allows indoor and
outdoor activities to mix.
The permanent dock will allow you to pull the ski/fishing boat right
up to the back yard during your stay. Or, if you would prefer, just
take the canoes out for a tour (two provided for our guests). Bring
your fishing poles or water skis. Or, just relax with a game of
horseshoes down by the water. Please note: The home is located on
the canal that separates the Island aprox 50 yards to open water in
the lake. During periods in summer the canal can become shallow.
Larger powerboats should be equipped with power trim to accommodate
shallow water.
Wildlife is plentiful, world-class deer, elk, moose and bear
frequent the area. For the bird watchers, don't be surprised to spot
bald, or golden eagles, heron, osprey or any number of birds of prey
as well as waterfowl and numerous smaller species.
Any number of outdoor activities are as close as the door. Hiking,
fishing, hunting are the norm for this area. The Cabinet Mountain
Wilderness area is just a stones throw, and makes a good view from
the deck.
Troy (15 miles) will accommodate shopping for essentials (gas,
groceries). For more extensive small town shopping (including
antiques), Libby is 30 miles but a great drive with some highlights
on the way (possible big horn sheep viewing and cable foot bridge).
Bull Lake is aprox 5 miles long and Angel Island separates the upper
third from the lower by a 100-yard channel. It is ideal for fishing
and any number of water sports. The boat launch is located aprox 1/2
mile (on the Island) from the house and a (rocky) beach is adjacent
to the launch area.
All linens and towels are provided. Guests have use of the fire pit,
hot tub, dock, horseshoes, charcoal barbecue, canoes, Angel Island
boat launch, tennis court and beach.
Get out of the rat race, Let your hair down, take your shoes off and
enjoy the sunny Montana days, cool nights, wildlife and all the
Rockies have to offer. It truly is the last great place (for the
eyes, mind, and body).
