Westcottage on Lake Louise, Boyne Falls in Petoskey

Our beautiful stone and log lake front cottage is located on Thumb
Lake (Lake Louise) about 45 minutes south of Petoskey, Michigan. We
are 30 minutes drive to Gaylord and Boyne City and about an hour’s
drive from Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, and Traverse City. The
private sandy beach front with dock, diving board, raft, air
mattresses, canoe, sail boat along with the miles of wooded hiking
or biking trails minutes from the door provide endless adventure for
all members of the family.

Two separate indoor areas provide room to spread out on a rainy day. The spacious living area in the house comes equipped with TV and VCR, games and books, even an indoor hammock space. The barn loft has a ping pong and pool table, puppet theater, games, books for all ages, couches and chairs. A hot tub is part of the package and Lake Louise is renowned for its marvelous swimming and fishing. A public boat launch is located
on the lake should you want to bring your motorized boat for water skiing or fishing. The house is fully equipped for your stay with towels (bring your own beach towels), linens, dishes…. Just bring your clothes and food and have a week of fun. We are interested in
finding renters who will enjoy and care for this marvelous cottage as much as we do. Perfect location for color tour rentals.

At the cottage: swim, snorkel, dive off the diving board and fish
from your own private dock; canoe or sail with boats we provide;
play in the sand or sunbathe on the lovely sandy beach; hike, bike,
or go birding in the majestic beech maple woods surrounding the
cottage; read in a hammock; play a game of croquette; relax on the
boat deck or in the hot tub; play indoor board games, put on a
puppet show, play a game of ping pong or pool in the barn, watch TV
or a video in the cottage.

In the area: shop, eat out, or browse through art and craft fairs in
Boyne Country’s picturesque towns (Gaylord, Boyne City, Petoskey);
golf at one of the areas world renown golf courses, take a ferry to
Mackinac Island and rent bikes for the day, rent canoes or tubes and
take a trip down the Sturgeon River, day trip to Sleeping Bear Sand
Dunes or Fort Michlimacinac

Taking summer bookings starting Oct. 1st of the previous year.

May and June: $1400/week

July and August: $1800/week

September and October: $1400/week

May, September, October: $750/3 day weekend

•Rental rates include cleaning fee.
•Rental week goes from Sunday 7pm to the following Sunday noon
•No pets
•No smoking in any buildings
•50 % deposit required to book
•Balance of payment due 30 days before rental
•$500 additional security deposit due 30 days before rental;
refundable within 15 days after departure
•Payment by check or money order
•Cancellations: Deposit (minus $50 administrative fee) will be
refunded up to 30 days prior to rental IF we can find another renter
for that time period
•Rental agreement will be sent to you upon booking. This must be
signed and returned within 30 days of rental.

May - October only (depending on when we open and close the cottage). No winter rentals.
