Beautiful hand-scribed log home on secluded pristine lake. in Chippewa Falls

This newly constructed and fully furnished, beautiful, hand-scribed,
log home is located on a secluded and serene northern Wisconsin
lake. At the end of a dead-end gravel road, this private 40-acre
site with 1200 feet of shoreline and a sandy beach is an ideal
location for a getaway vacation with privacy for families, couples
or several couples.

The lake and woodland site is shared with numerous creatures
including beaver, otter, and muskrats in the lake; tree toads
and frogs in the bog; deer, fox, porcupines, raccoons, and plenty
of red squirrels in the woodlands; and the occasional eagle
soaring overhead, to name a few. Loons will serenade you in the early
morning and evening, and the owls and peepers will take over during
the night. Wild geese are frequent passersby and if you are lucky
you may hear ruffed grouse drumming or coyotes howling. The nearby
aspen leaves provide the most delightful rustling in the gentle
breeze.

In spite of it's modern conveniences, this home maintains a rustic
look, thanks in large part to the hand-peeled logs and meticulous
workmanship. The log work is truly impressive with each log in its
original form and hand-fitted to adjacent logs. Some logs in
excess of 40 feet. The home has central heat/air conditioning and
plenty of large windows as well as abundant accent lighting.

The great room contains a massive natural-stone fireplace, S-shaped
log staircase, octagon overlooking both the lake and a smaller pond,
ceiling fans, and a 22-foot ceiling. Numerous nooks and crannies, a
secluded sunroom, and a 40-foot-long screened porch provide ample
opportunities for solitude.

This home has numerous tasteful decorations with a hint of the
southwest along with a somewhat eclectic assortment of
Wisconsin "treasures." We have opted to have no television and find,
at least for our family, that this promotes games and other
"community" activities.

Hardwood floors throughout, along with the log, cedar, and pine
walls, butternut bookcases, and ash cabinets provide the warmth and
charm that comes from natural wood.

The kitchen is complete with microwave oven, dishwasher, and garbage
compactor along with utensils. Each bedroom has two twin beds which
can be combined to provide a king-size bed. Linens and towels are
provided. A washer and dryer are available as is an outside shower
for those who want to experience a cleansing in nature.

In addition to the four bedrooms, there is also the opportunity to
utilize a pull-out couch/bed in the sunroom and/or the large family
room for additional sleeping accommodations. Beyond this,
arrangements can be made to use a separate log cabin that sleeps an
additional two guests in a king sized bed, or 4 guests in bunk beds.

The rolling grassy lawn provides the ideal location for spirited
games of croquet or bocce ball, both played, of course, with special
rules (more or less made up as you go) to account for the trees,
roots, and hill into the lake!

A toasty fire in the fire circle overlooking the lake makes a great
way to end the day.

The lake is home to large mouth bass, crappies, and bluegills, and a
canoe and row boat are provided. The nearby Chippewa River provides
additional fishing opportunities.

Besides being available for your personal rental, this location is
also the site of several weeklong vacation retreat packages for
either couples or individuals.

Available for Weekly or Monthly Rental - Year Round. $2000-
