Vacation Rental Description

Welcome to Hideaway Cabin. Our cabin is completely cedar and 
surrounded by gorgeous mountains on ten private acres with BIG 
mountain views surrounding! Hideaway Cabin is located on the Big 
Ridge section of the Blue Ridge Moutains, conveniently located to 
Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and culture of the local downtown 
areas.  Hideaway Cabin offers the rustic ambience of a small cabin 
yet boasts 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, all decorated in an 
authentic mountain theme. Our guests rave over the size of our 
mountainside home! At Hideaway Cabin you can bring your entire 
family and reconnect. Forget all the stress of your life and hide 
away in our cabin high up in the mountains.   How high up in the 
mountains? At 4400ft. Hideaway never needs air conditioning! (But we 
still have it, just in case!)  Lay in bed at night with the windows 
open and listen to the stream rushing down the mountain. 
  
There are three bedrooms, two baths upstairs as well as three 
bedrooms, two baths downstairs.  Your entire family will be 
comfortable with two full family rooms and two kitchens.   
For those of you with small children or a dog we have fenced the 
perimeter of the yard at house! Our hardwood floors are spread 
throughout our cabin but the best part.... The full, covered rocking 
chair front porch.  You and your family will relax on all the 
rocking chairs and the old fashioned porch swing while taking in the 
spectacular views of five mountain ranges. (In fact, there are 
breathtaking views from just about every room of our home!)
 The two bird feeders assure you always have feathered friends 
performing for your pleasure and the hummingbirds are magnificent.  
They call this area Hummingbird Heaven and you will see why. 
This is a full retreat experience for those who love skiing, (Beech 
is 9 miles away), wildlife, scenery, hiking, and privacy that only 
ten acres can afford you! Hike down and play in the beautiful stream 
on the property! Look out the window and don't be surprised if you 
see deer passing through, as well as many other native wildlife. You 
won't want to leave! This area gets a LOT of snowfall during the 
winter. This amenity means that you will need to have a four wheel 
drive vehicle in the winter. 

There are antiques scattered throughout the home as well as old 
fashioned "mountain" furniture! Play a game of chess or an old 
fashioned game of checkers; just some of the many 
games we have available in the house. We make up the beds for you, 
you bring your towels!

Dear Mary and Richard,
 
Just want  to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your 
great, comfortable large home! Instead of attempting to go 
snowboarding at Beech Mountain Saturday,  we took advantage of the 
beautiful snow and everyone sled down your driveway and road below. 
Thanks for having the sleds available. It brought back fond memories 
for my children sledding in Germany many years ago, when we lived 
there.
 
A great inviting, warm and large home. We love to do this again 
sometime next year, when we decide whether to go in winter or wait 
until spring and do white water rafting.

Dear Mary,
First of all your home was PERFECT !! We loved the floor plan.... No 
one felt on top of the other. The furnishing were GREAT!! Beds were 
comfy!! :) !! I slept in and loved the ... antique wrought-iron 
double bed upstairs. And the view was MAGNIFICENT!!

Your pictures do not do the house justice. It was much more 
beautiful than we imagined. :) !! We had a fabulous time! Thank you 
for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Dear Mary and Richard,
I just wanted to let you know what a great time we had this weekend. 
My family and I really enjoyed our stay and the weather cooperated 
too! (no rain). 
We got the opportunity to visit Grandfather Mountain and The 
Linville Cavern (I can't believe I walked across the swinging 
bridge). 
Your house was very cozy and beautifully decorated which made it 
very difficult to leave on Sunday. 
Hope you had a great weekend and a Happy Easter.
We look forward to spending time there again in the near future.

Vacation Rental Rates

$1499.00/week
Starting at $325.00/night for weekday nights and $395.00 for weekend 
nights - 2 night minimum

$3600.00/month plus additional cleaning fee of $125.00.  This is for 
off season months only.
 
Holidays are priced by request and are an additional fee.

Pets allowed(dogs only)$130.00 fee per dog. 
 
We accept visa, mastercard, american express and discover cards as 
well as personal checks.  

Our weekly prices are for Sunday to Sunday only.
