vacation rental description

                                      Welcome to Tuckaseegee Hideaway!
"It was very relaxing by the river." "It was very private, but yet close to town. I will definitely want to rent this cabin in the future."  "We had a wonderful stay in the cabin.  I will recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful setting to unwind, combined with a great area for other activities close by.  Tuckaseegee Hideaway is a treasure!"  These are just a few of the comments from previous guests.
This secluded mountain home is on 800 feet of waterfront on the Tuckaseegee River. Take in exciting water activities right from the back door: whitewater rafting and tubing, trout fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Explore the 13 acres just right for hiking. Relax in the rocking chairs on the wide deck overlooking the river or sit down by the campfire by the water. Fall asleep to the hum of the gentle rapids. Games and books are provided in this fully stocked home that
is built to accommodate two families. There are two bedrooms with new king size beds, a new queen size bed and four new twin beds in the very roomy loft/bedroom upstairs.  The home gets excellent cell phone service.
Located near historic Dillsboro (founded in 1884), you will find this charming town has quaint shops and friendly shopkeepers.
The Tuckaseegee River is full of fun rapids mixed with stretches to float and relax. Several local outfitters rent rafts and kayaks.  The Tuckaseegee is also great for fishing. It is well stocked with more than 61 thousand Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout each year. Touted by many as the best stocked river for trout in North Carolina, the "Tuck" is a fisherman's paradise.

traveler reviews for this dillsboro cabin rental

Beautiful Place

SunflowerFarms (Statesboro, Ga)
Review submitted: July 20, 2010   Date of arrival: July 8, 2010

Want to get away from it all and just relax? This is the place to be then. We had such a wonderful, relaxing time, plenty of room for 8 people. Walking trails, tubing, swimming, or just listening to the river from the deck are just a few things to do here. We look forward to returning and didn't want to leave. It is private and the river frontage is just beautiful. I recommend it for the ones who want to escape reality for a few days or a week. Curl up by the campfire, next to the river with a good book or good friends! Great Honeymoon Getaway too!!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
