Vacation Rental Description

Imagine a region that has the warmth of latin culture, the food of  
Italy and Spain, great wine, mountains that rival Alaska's, world  
class fishing and just about every outdoor activity available.  The  
one place in the world to find all of these incredible attributes is  
the Lakes Region in Argentina's Patagonia.  Villa La Angostura is an  
idyllic mountain town of 12,000 people nestled comfortably on the  
shores of Lago Nahuel Huapi in the Andes Mountains.  Surrounded by  
Nahuel Huapi National Park, Villa La Angostura offers year round  
outdoor adventures including mountain biking, fishing, whitewater  
rafting, sailing, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and many  
others.  These are some of the reasons we have made our second home  
in Villa La Angostura.  Come stay at Cabañas La Alemancita, to  
discover what we discovered when we first visited Patagonia.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Our two cabins are located on a beautiful lot that is nearly one  
acre. Each cabin contains two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 5.   
Enjoy the large deck, views of the forest  
and the creek that runs through the park like grounds.  The summer  
in Argentina (Dec-Mar), is a perfect time to escape the cold of the  
North American winter and enjoy the built in barbecue and cook some  
legendary Argentine asado.  The downstairs offers a full kitchen,  
dining area, open living room with windows that offer a 180 degree  
view of the grounds.  Timber beam construction and the extensive use  
of cypress creates a warm and cozy mountain home.  During the winter  
enjoy the open stone fireplace that is centrally located and  
provides warmth to those in the kitchen and living room.  The  
upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a full size bed, the other with  
three twin beds.  Both bedrooms offer open beam ceilings, cypress  
paneling and extensive use of windows.

Activities and Attractions

Villa La Angostura is a beautiful mountain town similar to some of  
Colorado's ski towns.  The main street Avenida Arrayanes is five  
blocks long and is perfect to explore on foot.  It is lined with  
artisan shops, clothing boutiques and restaurants.  We have our  
favorite restaurants in town and would be happy to give you tips on  
where to go.  One of the best restaurants in Villa La Angostura is  
the "Waldhaus" which is only a block and a half from the cabins.   
There are many services available in town from tour operators to ski  
and snowboard rentals.  We are more than happy to provide additional  
ideas for your Argentine vacation.  
 
La Alemancita is conveniently located in Puerto Manzano which is a 5  
minute drive to downtown and a beautiful 45 minute drive along the  
shores of Lago Nahuel Huapi from the Bariloche International Airport.
