Vacation Rental Description

This is a brand new air-conditioned first floor three-bedroom 
apartment surrounded on all sides by the golf course. 

It is part of a small development of luxury apartments set among 
landscaped lawns and flowerbeds. The apartment overlooks the 
swimming pool, golf course, nature reserve and harbour beyond. The 
apartment has one large adult and one children's communal swimming 
Pool with lifeguard cover during the summer months. There is a small 
children’s play area. There is a designated covered parking space 
under the apartment, with a lift to the 1st floor. The complex is 
secure and can only be accessed via remote control electric gates or 
the porters lodge.  

Isla Canela is located in a tranquil and unspoiled area of the Costa 
de la Luz facing the Atlantic Ocean. It is a natural island 
connected by a road bridge to the authentic Spanish town of Ayamonte 
with its quaint cobbled streets, town squares and great restaurants. 
It is situated very close to the border of Portugal in an area also 
known as the Spanish Algarve. It shares the charms of both Spain and 
Portugal with all their advantages. It is a fantastic region for 
enjoying sun, beach, sailing, golf, cycling, culture and scenic 
nature reserves. The Isla Canela resort comprises of a Golf course, 
vast fine sandy beaches, a modern leisure marina, luxury hotels, 
small commercial centres, restaurants and cafes. It is also home to 
a small fishing village as well as a large protected bird sanctuary. 
The resort can be reached from Faro Airport, which is about 45 
minutes away across the river Guadiana where there are no customs or 
border controls while Seville is about 90 minutes by car.

We don't ask for a security deposit, just please let us know of any 
breakages so that future guests are not inconvenienced.

Activities and Attractions

Golf 

Isla Canela golf course is a challenging 18-hole Par72 (about 6,833 
yards), the ground being characterised by gentle slopes formed by 
dunes and a beautiful countryside with olive, orange and eucalyptus 
trees. The design of the holes combines precision, strength and 
dexterity in their proper proportions. The course is kept to a high 
standard and is open all year round. It is believed that as 
apartment guests you are entitled to 50% discount on Isla Canela 
golf course (approx 36 euros). The clubhouse has a restaurant, a 
bar, a pro shop, its own swimming pool, and beautiful terraces. For 
the novice, there is a permanent golf school, where you can quickly 
learn. There are many other courses to be enjoyed within a 25-30 min 
drive either in Spain at Islantilla, Nuevo Portil, El Rompido, 
Valderretama, Bellavista and Dunas Donana or in Portugal at Castro 
Marim, Quinta de Cima, Quinta da Ria, Benamor and many more all 
within easy reach of the apartment. The apartment has a lockable 
underground storage room where you can keep your clubs during your 
stay.

Beaches 

Isla Canela boasts over 5 miles of fine sandy beach beside the clean 
Atlantic Ocean. It is 40 meters wide on average, a lot wider than 
most beaches on the other costas of Spain. The gentle slope of the 
ocean floor and the sand banks just off the coast ensure that the 
sea is always calm and safe to swim in along the whole beach with 
just gentle surf and never any big and dangerous waves. The size of 
the beach and the careful development of the residential resort with 
only a few select hotels also ensure that there is plenty of space 
on the sand. Research featured in the Daily Express, to find how 
busy the beaches of Europe were, devised a rating to give 
holidaymakers an idea of how much towel space they could expect. 
Isla Canela came top in the survey with a grand 14.5 rating, meaning 
that there was enough room for over 14 average towels per person on 
the sand, compare this to San Antonio on Ibiza where the space 
available on the sand is just over one towel per person! 

For those people wanting a little bit more surf and a few more 
International amenities, including fantastic home made Italian ice-
cream, the Beach at Monte Gordo is superb, just a 15 minute drive 
away over the border, and only marginally more crowded with loads of 
space even in peak season. There is also a Casino at Monte Gordo for 
the gamblers.

Tennis

The complex has two private brand new tennis courts for the sole use 
of residents. These courts are free to use just obtain the key from 
the concierge.

Bowling 

The Bowling Club is located next to the Golf Club and very close to 
the apartment. It has two greens the first is natural grass, made to 
the specifications of the English Bowling Federation and approved 
officially by the Spanish Bowling Federation, The other in 
artificial turf.

where your booking period covers two price bands the higher will be

Where a booking is for two consecutive weeks the price payable will 
be the sum of the two individual weeks with the total then being 
discounted by 20%, similarly a three week booking will receive a 25% 
discount and 4 weeks will get 30%.
