Vaulted ceilings in kitchen/family, living/dining rooms, 5 sliding glass doors onto lanai and pool, large insulated windows, ceiling fans in all rooms:
Complete kitchen: Microwave, coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle, ice maker, good pots and pans, dishes, utensils and large pantry. Breakfast bar (4 stools, not shown in photo), round glass kitchen table (seats 4), UFO sofa and swivel armchair (not shown - photo update soon - white sofa has been replaced), teak nesting tables. Table booster seat & bumbo chair for baby and toddler. Limited toddler silverware, sippy cups, etc. Opens to lanai.
Living room: Sound system, cable/CD/VCR/DVD/iPod-compatible (small collection of videos, books and DVDs), leather sofa and reading chairs, sliders to pool and waterway.
Dining room: danish sideboard and table, seats 8. Gorgeous afternoon light.
Master: King bed and side tables, long matching dresser, deep tub, large shower, Cable/VCR, phone, slider to pool.
Bedroom 2: double platform bed; large dresser, slider to lanai and waterway.
Bedroom 3: twin bed, dresser, bookshelf. For the wee one, a new portable crib which sets up quickly (quite small); no tools required. Barely used pack 'n play, as well as bed rails for the small child who is ready for a "big-kid" bed...
Office/Den: desk, phone, fax, Comcast high-speed internet access (wi-fi), futon (converts to a double bed), dresser, bookshelf. Full size air mattress also available.
Lanai: in-ground pool*, outdoor dining table (seats 6), gas grill, outdoor shower, half bath, 4 chaise lounges, ceiling fan, pool floats.
*The convenience of access to the pool through 5 doors can also pose a danger to small children and pets. PLEASE do as we do when staying at the house with a baby or toddler... choose one door to come and go through from the lanai, so that none are accidently left open. We use the kitchen/family room door only, and leave the other four locked. It also makes life easier when locking up to leave for the day.

This is the Gulf of Mexico... warm water and soft sand! Try beach combing or reading by the pool; snorkling; shelling; boating (2 local marinas rent boats for your dock) - water skiing/wake boarding; scuba diving; kayaking; fishing (deep-sea, surf-casting or drop a line off the dock); tennis; golf; bicycling (highly recommended, islands are made for bikes and there are rentals galore); Everglades exploration (by foot or fan boat) especially the Fakahatchee Strand (read The Orchid Thief); shopping (5th Avenue in Naples & further north for outlet bargains); dancing; dining on fresh seafood, real Italian food, trendy gourmet infusion, sashimi & sake or clean your fresh catch on the dock and grill it up with a little lemon and parsley (maybe a pale ale)... yum!
vacation rental rates
Low season (May-Nov): $1000/week, $3000/month (1 week minimum).
High season (Dec-Apr): $1750/week, $5000/month (Christmas week: $2500)
Taxes, utilities and cleaning fees included.
25% of rent required (upon signing rental agreement) as non-refundable deposit to hold reservation. Balance of rent and security deposit due ten days prior to arrival.
$1000 refundable security deposit, returned promptly upon acceptable inspection of premises.
