Green Lake/Interlochen Lake Front Cottage in Interlochen

This Green Lake cottage was totally rebuilt in the fall 2012/winter 2013. It has granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms and all new appliances.  The common areas have knotty pine paeling.  The first floor has wood flooring and the upper floor has new carpet.  Large  windows and two sliding glass doors face the
sandy side of the lake. This cottage sleeps 6-8. The cottage is secluded and quiet. The
Interlochen State Park and the Interlochen Center for the Arts are 3 miles away. The town of
Interlochen is 5 Miles away and Traverse City is only 15 Miles.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms plus a den & 2-1/2 baths. There are two double bed rooms and one
room with 2 twins. The den has a double sleeper sofa. There is gas heat, central AC, a gas stone fireplace in the living room, TV, DVD, VCR and Washer/Dryer. Private cable and wireless Internet is available. The kitchen has a coffee
maker, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, and pots and pans.

There is plenty of patio furniture including a table. The private beach is less than 50 feet
from the front door. There is a grill on the patio.  As of 2010 there is a new wrap-around wooden deck.

 Smoking is allowed outside only, please. The house is
not handicapped accessible.

Green Lake covers 2000 acres and has a water depth of 102 feet. There is very little boat
traffic making the lake very quiet. The lake water is clear and clean. Fish are plentiful and
include large and small-mouth bass, perch, and sunfish. There is a dock and no drop off –
excellent for swimming. There is a rowboat and life jackets for your use.

Summer in Northern Michigan is warm but normally not over bearing. Normally lake
breezes provide cooling. Even the occasional 90-degree day is tempered by cool nights -
there are fans. The lake has interesting waterfowl and supports swans, ducks and loons.
There is a golf course within 6 miles and very challenging courses in Traverse City.

The cottage is located 5 minutes from the Interlochen Center for the Arts; you can enjoy
entertainment all summer. Some very big names make it to Interlochen including Lyle
Lovett, the Doobie Brothers, and BB King. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is less
than an hour away.

Saturday to Saturday rental. Check-in is at 3pm; Check-out is at 11 am. The
weekly rate is US$1400 per week, with a $300 refundable deposit required. Please bring
linens and towels.
