STRESS ALERT......
Arrive at your vacation home via a scenic, gentle driveway which approaches a spacious and level parking area, level with "The Crest" at the top-of-the-worldat Woodridge The house is situated at an altitude of 3200 feet. A few steps from yourcar brings you onto the covered porch and into the living room.
The house is loaded with many large windows which provide fantastic outdoor views. The bedrooms are comfortable, and generously sized. The loft is huge, with a game table for chess, checkers, card or family games from our generous library.
There is plenty of room inside and out! "The Crest" is located between and a little west of Blowing Rock and Boone... near Hound Ears golfing community off 105. Both towns are about a 15 minute drive.
This 'smoke-free' and 'pet friendly' mountain home is situated on 12
acres, with nature at your doorstep. Bordering the property, on National Forest land, is a bold stream to follow, or a huge bolder to just sit on and fish. Down the road is the trout pond, and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway is Bass Lake.
Also, 'The Crest' is located close to the historic and charming town of Blowing Rock and the ongoing wide range of events and activities found in the college town of Boone.
"The Crest" offers solitude, but not isolation....Sound wonderful?

Boone is home to Appalachian State University. There are plenty of college activities available, along with the cultural activities reminiscent of the historic Daniel Boone era. A short distance away on 321 is the historic and quaint town of Blowing Rock. You will enjoy the many exquisite shops and wonderful restaurants. Just off 105 is Valle Crusis, with the famous Mast General Store. The kids will love to shop in for penny candy. The Appalachian Mountains offer an abundance of activities. The 'Crest' is just a few minutes from the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoyable activities include visits to Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian State University, Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Caverns and Falls, 'Horn in the West' drama about Daniel Boone, shopping, golfing, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing , white water rafting, and much more. In the winter, you might try skiing at any of several popular ski resorts. There is also cross country skiiing, and sledding.
