vacation rental description

This vacation home is in a quiet, peaceful, park-like setting on four acres along the beautiful Bitterroot River, just 15 minutes south of Missoula.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while you watch beautiful sunrises over the river and Sapphire Mountains. In the evening, watch the sun set over the Bitterroot Mountains. You will have direct access from the property to fishing, floating, and swimming.

Hike miles of nearby trails to rugged peaks and mountain lakes, creeks and ponds. Wildlife abound. Canada geese and a variety of ducks use the river. Watch deer and fox wander through the property and eagles and osprey dipping for fish. For a day trip, Glacier Park is just a 3-hour drive north. Yellowstone Park is 4-1/2 hours away

The living room, with glass doors opening to the deck, faces the river and the Sapphire Mountain range. The family room faces west to the Bitterroot Mountain Range and has a gas fireplace for chilly evenings. The family room furniture includes a futon which is suitable for one adult or two children.

There are two bedrooms, each with a large bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds.

A sunroom is connected to the main bedroom through french doors. It's a great place to sit and read, work on your computer, or just enjoy the views.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including your basic cooking essentials such as spices, oil, coffee, tea, sugar. There are plenty dishes, glasses, and cookware, even a pizza stone and a counter-top Foreman grill.

It's quiet, peaceful, and beautiful here. We take pride in ensuring the vacation rental is well maintained and that our guests have everything they need to make their stay most enjoyable. We have, ourselves, stayed in vacation rentals. Using that as a learning experience, we have tried to make our vacation rental as close to home and comfortable as possible.

No smoking is allowed.

Just 45 minutes away is one of the best mule deer hunting units in the west and 20 minutes to excellent archery hunting for deer at the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge. Fly fish in the Bitterroot River from the back yard.

R and R on the River

Trucha (San Antonio, TX)
Review submitted: October 13, 2011   Date of arrival: October 1, 2011

Comfortable, well-maintained home right on the Bitterroot River. The property feels out-of-the-way even though you are only 1 mile from the main highway and a quick 25 minute drive to Missoula. The adjacent properties are all large and well-kept making for a nice neighborhood. My husband and I had a very relaxing week at this lovely home, and enjoyed having a glass of wine on the back porch while gazing out onto the Sapphire mountains across the river. The house is well equipped, with everything you need, and the queen bed was very comfortable. We had decent fishing right out the back, and also used a great guide for 3 days. This house is super convenient for floating various parts of the Bitterroot. One of our favorite things about a “Montana” vacation is the opportunity to do nothing but enjoy the peaceful surroundings and scenery. This house is a wonderful place to do just that.

Abundant wildlife and comfortable house

Review submitted: January 20, 2010   Date of arrival: August 13, 2008

Staying here was a unique experience for us. To sit here in the early morning and look out, seeing deer, elk, turkeys, and that wonderful funny round marmot who is convinced, I'm sure, that this is HIS home, not ours. This is such beautiful country -- we will not forget it. Your house is lovely, so thoughtfully equipped. We never lacked for a thing -- we were so comfortable.
