Storybook Suite at Sycamore Springs, Oak Creek in Sedona

Sycamore Springs, like Sedona, is a destination place. Our suites are not four white walls and a cheap bed, but rather a great choice for visitors to Sedona and the Verde Valley area of Arizona who are seeking  rest and refreshment  in natural surroundings. It is located on a lush, waterfront ranch on lower Oak Creek. 

Sycamore Springs Guest House offers restoration for your weariness in this special place bordered by pastures, mountains, and Oak Creek.  15 minutes southwest of Sedona off  a popular scenic highway. Convenient to Verde Valley attractions, Prescott, and Flagstaff; after a day of traveling or sightseeing, this "home away from home" welcomes you to enjoy a glass of local wine, a good book, a nap, and a long soak in the hot tub. Hosts live on-site to help you enjoy your vacation experience.

The "Merritt Storybook Suite" is located on the lower floor of the two story
Guest House, and features "Charming Country Cottage" decor. This suite features Pine floors,  country style wallpaper in living room, and custom paint treatment in the bedroom that sleeps two. This gives a cozy feeling of a quaint upscale cottage.  Special soundproofing in the ceiling ensures a private, quiet stay. The bedroom is exceptionally spacious featuring a King size  bed with down comforter and bright country quilt. A separate seating area in the bedroom is located in front of a picture window. A desk with high speed Internet connectionis provided.

The spacious bathroom is accessed from the bedroom and
features an extra-wide countertop, pinewood floors, cheerful floral
decor, and a full-size clothes closet. A sliding glass door leads from the bedroom to a private, covered patio with lounge lawn chairs and gas BBQ grill.
Three picture windows in front overlook 2 ponds, 3 waterfalls, bridges, and different water features. The overstuffed sectional sofa in the living room is great for afternoon naps or for watching Satellite TV. This suite features a HearthStone gas stove for enjoying  evenings by the fire. There is a full kitchen, separate dining area with farm table, and a laundry room. A private soak in the Spa Cabin is available on an alternating basis
between guests staying in our Suites in a hot tub that seats 6.                      The Spa Cabin is reached by a short walk on creekbank sidewalks.
It is semi-enclosed and built from aged barnwood and decorated
with antique farm implements. The Spa Cabin offers privacy from the
other buildings on the property but is open to great views of the
pond and pastures. Luxurious spa robes and towels are provided.
In-Room Massages available by pre-arranged appointment.
An open air Ramada is available for lovely fireside dinners at the
glass patio table overlooking the water. A gas grill is available for your favorite chef to prepare barbeque or steaks.
Relax in front of the wood burning fireplace on cool evenings.
You can enjoy a romantic dinner or a glass of wine fireside
during cooler nights in our "Briarpatch Dayroom" which overlooks the water.

The "Merritt Storybook Suite" - offers a washer/dryer for longer stays.

Animal Lovers:
You'll enjoy visiting the resident Golden Retrievers and
kitties on the grounds. Although they’re adorable and will beg to be invited, they’re not allowed inside the Suites. Stroll along Oak Creek on this historic ranch to see pastures dotted with grazing cattle.  The wildlife are attracted to the three waterfalls, two ponds, and the many creek banks on the property.
Fisherman: Oak Creek fishing is free from the banks on the property.
Bird Watchers: You should bring binoculars because lower Oak Creek is a
riparian habitat for many bird species including herons, hawks, owls, and flycatchers. Ducks and Canadian geese winter here November through February.  Springtime migration brings tanagers and orioles, bluebirds & robins to feast on ripe mulberries in April & May.
Kingfishers can be seen diving into the ponds during summer and ducks & herons enjoy the cool Oak Creek water that feeds both ponds.
Quail, robins, cardinals, and finches can be seen year-round.

Season dates as follows: ALL seasons: 2 night minimum on weekends!

Spring- March 1- May 31, 2012 $185 per night (2 night minimum) $1195 per week

Summer: June 17- August 31, 2012 ; $175 per night . 2 night minimum

Autumn :Sept 1-Nov 25, 2012 $185 per night (2 night minimum) $1195 per week

Winter Nov 26- Feb 28, 2013 $175 per night. 2 night minimum

Security Deposit $150

All rates in US funds.

Cancellation policy: Deposit returned up to one week of arrival minus $25 handling fee.

Cancellations made within a week of arrival forfeit their deposit but it  can be used for a later stay.

NO REFUNDS for early departure.
