Vacation Rental Description

1811 Chatham Ave. is a traditional Tybee Beach cottage on the Back 
River, at the South end of Tybee Island. It has easy access to both 
the Ocean and the Back River. The porches extend around three sides 
of the house, and are 16 feet wide along the south side. This enables 
the family to comfortably gather around and chat. This house is ideal 
for large families or close family friends.

The house has air-conditioning, and each room has a ceiling fan.

There are two separate, fully equipped kitchens upstairs and down, as 
well as a set of washer/dryers upstairs and down. 

There are three bedrooms upstairs and three downstairs. Starting 
upstairs, we have a bedroom with two single beds, and it is connected 
to a full bath. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and an 
adjacent full bath. This bath is shared with the third bedroom, which 
has a set of bunk beds. We also have a pullout sofa bed in the living 
room.

Downstairs, the master bedroom has a queen size bed and a private 
bath. The Children's room has two sets of bunk beds, and the third 
bedroom has a queen size bed. 

There are also two outdoor showers in addition to the others inside.

We have a strict, NO SMOKING policy. This is an old, wooden house.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Guests need only to bring their sun tan oil, cloths, food, and 
beverages. We provide the beach chairs, towels, and linens. The 
porches have an ample amount of chairs to gather around, and each 
porch has its own hammock. We enjoy eating on the dinning room table 
on the upstairs porch.

The Back River beach is only fifty yards away. This makes it very 
convenient to get to, especially with small children. A boat can be 
anchored off of the beach. 

We also have a large number of children's games and puzzles, as well 
as other toys. 

Activities and Attractions

The beach is the primary attraction. The house is close to both the 
Back River and the ocean. Older children often enjoy riding the 
larger waves in the ocean around high tide. The Back River is an 
ideal place for sailing, kyacking, and swimming, particularly for 
smaller children who do not like the waves. In addition, the Back 
River has far fewer people than the ocean side.

Vacation Rental Rates

All Rentals are Saturday 3:00PM to Saturday 11:00AM

High Season Rates:(March-September 9th) $2,600 per week

Mid Season Rate:(September 9th through November)$1,500 per week

Low Season Rates:(December-February) $1,000 per Week
Christmas week: $1,500

In addition to the base rate per week, there is a $250 cleaning fee 
per rental.
Utilities, cable TV, linens, and towels are included.
