Acadia National Park. Part of large historic estate that was a former farm for one of Bar Harbor's famous summer cottages. 

Estate features renowned landscape architect Beatrix Farrand designed gardens as well as a large vegetable garden available to guests for their private use. Guest cottage sits overlooking wonderful deer meadow and old apple orchard. 

Cottage is wonderfully decorated in English chintzes with comfortable wicker and Maine antiques. Features two bedrooms that sleeps four (one bedroom has 2 twin beds with new high end mattressses, the other features a queen size bed with new high end mattress). Cottage also has a queen pull-out sofa bed in livingroom.

Full laundry room, full basement, private terrace for cookouts and a garage.

Acadia National Park and the surrounding area offers an array of
opportunities. The property is located three minutes by bike to the park and carriage roads.
Spend your day biking to the Jordan Pond House for tea and popovers
or on the water sailing aboard the Margaret Todd. Guests especially enjoy kayaking on Frenchman's Bay all within walking distance.  At night enjoy the scenes of Bar Harbor proper. Choose from top rated restaurants as well as organic dining and lobster "eat in the rough"...and much, much more!
Property located near the College of the Atlantic which features great summer lectures and again is within walking distance to the town of Bar Harbor.
