Vacation Rental Description

A truly special place, Troutsong has "hooked" many of our guests,
several of 
whom have already booked another vacation with us. The house was once
our own home and 
still includes a piano and a wonderfully eclectic decor. From the
covered porch on a 
comfortable swing you practically sit atop Howard's Creek as it takes
a picture-perfect bend 
through the property. Very secluded, you see no other houses from this
property, other than 
the "out" buildings on our land. 
The master bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has 2 twins
and a loft double 
bed (not intended for two large adults, however). Full kitchen, gas
grill, fire wood, fire 
pit on the terrace. Feed the trout from the porch but please follow
all state fishing laws if you 
intend to fish this part of Howard's Creek, designated a wild trout
stream.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Creekside living... covered porch with swing; tree swing next to
creek. Wood stove; whole-
house heater; ceiling fans; no air conditioning ever needed! Piano,
microwave, 
dishwasher, washer/dryer. DirecTV, games, books, stereo w/ CDs,
television w/DVDs & 
videos. All linens and towels provided.

Activities and Attractions

Relax by the creek, explore and play in the creek, hike nearby trails
across and over ridges 
and down to nearby waterfall.  Only 10 minutes to downtown Boone and
ASU. Great tourist 
attractions, good local restaurants, shopping etc. close by. 

Vacation Rental Rates

Two-night minimum required throughout the year except for holidays,
which require 3 or 4 
night stays. Based on two people, off-season rates begin at $100
nightly, $650 weekly. Summer, fall 
and holiday rates higher. Additional charges for more than 2 guests.
Pet fee. 
Taxes 13 percent. Security deposit, $300,  fully refundable.  Weekly 
and monthly rates quoted. Call or email. No credit cards.
