Vacation Rental Description

Large (1100 sq ft plus balcony), two bedroom (split plan), two bath,  
waterfront condo located on idyllic Isla Del Sol in St. Petersburg,  
Florida, adjacent to Tierra Verde. Renters have full access to all  
resort amenities including a waterfront pool and Jacuzzi, recreation  
room, and fishing pier. An elevator provides direct access from the  
covered parking areas to the unit (no stairs). 
 
Relax on our spacious fourth floor balcony overlooking northern Boca  
Ciega Bay and enjoy both the water view as well as the downtown  
St. Petersburg lights at night. During the day kayak or canoe  
through the many nearby bays and tidal flats, fish from the  
multitude of local piers and bridges, bicycle to the beaches, or  
watch for the many species of migratory birds and resident  
shorebirds in the area and at the world renowned Fort DeSoto County  
Park, part of the Florida Birding Trail.

Vacation Rental Amenities

This air-conditioned unit is fully equipped and includes a  
dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, iron and ironing  
board, fans, washer and dryer, all necessary linens and dishware,  
cable TV, electric, and local phone service, VCR, CD, and DVD players,  
a stereo and home theatre sound system, covered parking, and security.  
New frieze carpet and black tile floors accent the beauty of this unit  
while the large, L-shaped sliding glass doors contribute to its light  
and airy feel. High speed internet access also is included at no extra  
charge.

Activities and Attractions

Isla Del Sol (Island of the Sun) is ideally located within 2 miles  
of St. Petersburg Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, 4 miles from Fort  
DeSoto Park, the #1 ranked beach in the US in 2005, 5 minutes from  
the Tampa Bay Devil Rays stadium, 5 minutes from the Sunshine  
Skyway, and 10-15 minutes from the museums, upscale shopping, pier,  
restaurants, parks, and outdoor concerts and activities that  
characterize downtown St. Petersburg. The Tampa cruise ship  
terminal, aquarium, Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers  
stadiums, and Tampa International airport are all within a 20-30  
minute drive. Other nearby activities or sights include the Don  
Cesar beach hotel and resort, parasailing, golf, watercraft rental,  
kayaking, biking, charter fishing or diving, and boat tours. Nearby  
theme parks and zoos include Lowry Park (35 minutes), Busch Gardens  
and Adventure Island (40 minutes), Disneyworld and Epcot (90  
minutes), and Universal Studios (2 hours).  
 
Birders will appreciate the local shorebird populations and the  
unit's easy access to Fort Desoto Park, a major stopover of the  
North Atlantic Flyway. In addition to year-round resident  
shorebirds, the months of April and October offer the birder a  
variety of sighting opportunities of non-resident species.  
Shorebirds commonly sighted include Long-billed Curlews,  
Oystercatchers, plovers, sandpipers, Willets, Marbled Godwits, White- 
morph Reddish Egret, normal Reddish Egrets, Osprey, Brown and White  
Pelicans, Cormorants, Anhinga, nearly every species of wading birds,  
terns, and gulls. Migration brings in raptors, waterfowl, wood- 
warblers, kingfishers, vireos, tanagers, and others. If you are  
lucky you may encounter a rarity such as a Grove-billed Ani, Yellow- 
billed Cuckoo, or Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. Additionally, there are  
a number of excellent local and day-trip birding locations as  
outlined in the Central Florida Birding Trail guidebook we provide  
for all birders.

Vacation Rental Rates

Maximum Occupancy: Four (4) persons. Up to two (2) additional guests  
may be allowed subject to an additional charge (please inquire). 
 
Lease:  Long-term (4 or more months) leases may be available at   
        reduced rates. 
 
2008 Rates:     January, February, & March- $2900/month & tax 
                April & December-           $2300/month & tax 
                May, October, & November-   $1800/month & tax 
                June through September-     $1500/month & tax 
 
Additional rental days may be added at pro-rated rates. 
 
Rental minimums: January through April- 30 days 
                 Remaining months- 2 weeks 
 
Terms: 
A $300 reservation deposit is due within seven (7) days of the  
reservation. The reservation deposit converts to a security deposit  
at the time of possession and will be returned following property  
inspection at the close of the lease period less any charges for  
damages or missing items. The application fee is non-refundable. 
 
A $50.00 Condominium Association occupancy fee and a $75.00 cleaning  
fee are charged with each rental. 
 
This is a non-smoking unit. No pets are allowed.
