The Kamai is located in Hale Koolau, a family owned & operated group of ocean & beach front vacation rental homes in Honolulu, Hawaii located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Koolau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern
pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.

The Kamai (Garden Suite) is an affordable garden view air-conditioned vacation
rental suite just 80 feet from the ocean on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers a tranquil setting surrounded by indigenous flowers and tropical greenery. This is an economical one bedroom, one bath suite with porcelain tile floors throughout. The Kamai features a completely remodeled (2006) and open kitchen with granite countertops, a sealed top stove/range, microwave, fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The adjacent dining area has a teak table with seating for four. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and opens via sliding glass door to your private 240 sf covered lanai with hammock and outdoor dining area all overlooking our tropical courtyard, BBQ area, and hot tub. There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. The separate bedroom area is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture with a queen bed and also opens via sliding glass door to a side yard/lanai. The cute "cape cod" style bathroom has tile floors, stand-up shower, and pedestal sink. This suite enjoys cool tropical breezes year around, however floor fans can be made available as
needed. Although the Kamai is not oceanfront, you do have private beach access through our property (no street to cross) and can hear the ocean from the bedroom and covered lanai.

In addition to these amenities Hale Koolau also offers complimentary high speed wi-fi internent access for all our properties.

Enjoy private beach access through our property with the beach just 80 feet away (you don't need to cross a road or walk for blocks; you are on the oceanfront property already). There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in a nearby hot tub. Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu. 3 nights or more     $174.99

5 nights or more     $149.99

7 nights or more     $124.99

We charge a flat rate of $1,190.00 for reservations covering Christmas or New Year's Holiday.  This rate covers up to 7 nights.  Additional nights are billed at the normal nightly rate.  Christmas reservations must vacate by December 29 and New Years reservations cannot arrive earlier than December 29.  Reservations which include both Christmas and New Years are billed a flat rate of $2,380.00 and cover up to 14 nights.  Additional nights are billed at the normal rate.

TERMS:

All rates quoted are based upon two (2) person occupancy and are charged based upon the amount of nights you stay.

Absolute minimum requirement for booking a reservation is three (3) nights.

Minimum requirement for Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving, Easter and BYU Graduation (Spring) is 7 nights.

Minimum requirement for Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July is 5 nights.

Add $15.99 daily charge for each additional guest over two (2) person occupancy up to a maximum of four (4) people, including children over 1 year of age..

One (1) parking stall is provided per vacation home. Extra parking may be ordered through owner's secure online reservations system.

Add a $80.00 one-time cleaning fee to all reservations.
