Wonderful Time Skiing

We were lucky enough to schedule our trip while a huge snowstorm dropped 24" on Sunrise Ski Resort. The cabin was clean, comfortable and close to the ski resort, restaurants and shopping. The fireplace was warm while the snow was dumping on the town. We all thought the bedrooms were perfect and there was enough room for all of us. The kids liked the brand new flatscreen TVs.

I'm looking forward to trying out the porch in the summer because it looks like a great place to relax after a day of fishing. Even with all the snow, the roads to the cabin were cleared quickly and I don't think any type of car would have problems getting to the cabin.

The owner was great and responsive and keeps a great cabin.

Almost a home away from home

We found this rental to be spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The owners have been steadily working on improving the place. Our wish list is that there was a hot-air popcorn popper, and perhaps a humidifier ... but it wasn't dry enough for anyone to develop a nosebleed. It would have also been nice if the outside of the upper windows in the family room were clean as I enjoy looking out at the snow falling. The master bed had a thick mattress foam topper that radiated heat, so we took the downstairs bedroom and allowed our teenaged daughter to sleep upstairs. We probably should have tried removing it, but I hesitate to make changes to other people's property. I absolutely loved the bed linens ... soft, clean, breathable, layered, and very attractive. If the owner wants a great suggestion on a replacement mattress, we have found the Kingsdown mattresses that Sleep America sells to be the best. We also enjoyed the wi-fi and two TVs. My review may sound a little negative, but we are very picky people, and our most common complaint is almost always bed comfort.

Great Cabin in the Pines!

My husband and I rented the cabin for a month this summer to escape the heat in Phoenix. It was just wonderful! The cabin is in an excellent location in the tall pines, quiet, but close to the stores and restaurants in Show Low and Lakeside-Pinetop. The place is comfortable and nicely furnished. We particularly enjoyed the large front porch where we enjoyed the cool weather and listening to the wind blow through the pines. We loved it. We'll definitely come again.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, pet-friendly
