Vacation Rental Description

"Royden" is a classic old Newport estate in the Castle Hill area. 
This early 20th century family house is constructed of old red 
brick with slate and copper roof and has two working fireplaces, 
front and service gravel driveways on two and a half acres of 
finely landscaped grounds with old growth trees and shrubs, 
gardens and an expansive lawn. This very private residence is 
surrounded by a classic stone wall and has 6 bedrooms, 4 1/2 
baths, living room, dining room, kitchen , 2 car garage and sun 
terrace.The sounds of fog horns and bell buoys fill the air and a 
lovely private beach is just a short amble away.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Location is just one block off the Ocean Drive and one block from 
the Newport Country Club (site of the 2006 Womens US Open 
Golf). The house has views of the Narragansett Bay shipping 
channel with sailboats and cruise ships plying the waters. 
Located off a quiet sidestreet, this home has hardwood floors 
throughout, washer/dryer, dishwasher, cable TV and internet, 
finely furnished rooms and a piano. The sun patio provides for 
private sun bathing and flower gardening or a short stroll to the 
private sandy beach for a swim .

Swimming , kayaking, sailing, surfing, great fishing, golf, 
sunbathing and fine dining all without leaving the immediate 
neighborhood. 5 minute walk to Brenton State Park and Castle
