Aunt Birdie's Bargain: Book now starting at $80 nightly in Boone

Our travelers'rest at Aunt Birdie's sits high atop Doe Ridge but is a
mere 10 minutes to Boone and ASU. We are a cool 4,100 feet above sea
level with the unique option of renting either upstairs only or
upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs unit, affectionately known as
Aunt Birdie's Bottom, was recently renovated into a retro hideaway.
It's a fun place, perfect for older kids/teens, with
foosball, games, bunk bed with books, games, videos, etc. There are
two bedrooms & one bath downstairs. The downstairs is not rented
unless you also want the upstairs.
Upstairs is a cozy, fabulous cabin where the wide and
welcoming covered porch has splendid views, especially at sunrise. Inside
upstairs there's a large, full kitchen with handmade round, lazy-Susan
table, fireplace and wonderful "shabby chic" decor. Enjoy the fire pit
outside with wood provided. If it's chilly enough there are fireplaces
on both levels.
Rent upstairs 2/1 (queen bed in one, double & twin in the other) only
or rent upstairs and downstairs (total 4/2) which is perfect for
families with older
children, extended families vacationing together or friends
traveling together who need more room.

Gas grill, microwave, television, fireplace, fire pit, ceiling fans
(no air conditioning required!),
Foosball, books, games. All towels and linens provided.

Wildlife includes deer, wild turkey, rabbits, coyote, song birds and
fox. Nearby trails and
waterfall on Howard's Creek. Secluded and serene but a 10 minute drive
to supermarket,
theaters and restaurants. Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk area is a top
tourist destination
with attractions, shopping and recreational activities of all sorts.

Two-night minimum required except during holidays, when 3 or 4 nights
may be required. Based on two
persons, nightly rates for upstairs only begin at $80;
Fully refundable security
