Vacation Rental Description

Historic Cortez Fishing Village hugs the coast of Sarasota Bay on the
Gulf Coast of Florida. Historic Cortez has become a haven for artists,
writers and fisherman who find the unspoiled surroundings magical. The
William Guthrie House, built in 1915 and fully restored in 2006, is a
charming 1200sq ft self-catering holiday cottage rental 100 yards from
Sarasota Bay and 0.3 mile from Bradenton Beach. This lovingly restored
self-catering historic cottage with sun deck, screened porch and BBQ
sleeps 1 - 6 persons, has 2 bedrooms, 1 traditional sleeping porch, 1
large family shower room, open plan living/dining area and cook’s
kitchen all with central heat and air conditioning. The hardwood
floors, bead board walls and fireplace are just a few of the original
features. This Gulf Coast of Florida holiday cottage is available for
seasonal or long term rental. The Shack, an additional 1 bed, 1 bath
studio cottage, was completely restored in 2007 and is now available
for an extra fee. Seasonal or long term rentals welcome.

Vacation Rental Amenities

2 Charming cottage bedrooms decorated in a island style. 1 Traditional
sleeping porch with central heat and air conditioning has trundle bed
housing two single mattresses. Amenities include a fully equipped
kitchen with self cleaning electric oven and glass cooktop, full size
refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, breakfast bar, phone,
cable TV, DVD, CD, clock radios, ceiling fans throughout, full size
washer and dryer, ironing facilities, bed and bath linens, bicycles
and private parking with room for boat and trailer.

The Shack, a studio cottage with full-size sleeper sofa and additional
bathroom with shower, was completely restored in 2007 and is now
available as an optional extra. Please note, The Shack is not
available for rent on its own.

Vacation Rental Rates

New Rates for 2008: Monthly rates available. Winter: December 15 –
April 30 $2625 per month / $945 per week / $147 per day * Summer: May
1 – August 15 $1995 per month / $735 per week / $126 per day *
Off-Season: August 16 – December 14 $1575 per month / $525 per week /
$105 per day * Note: Rates Based on 4-Person Max, Nominal Fee for
Extra Persons of $15 per day. *Day Rates: Not Available Year Round.
Holiday Weeks: Rates plus 15% during certain holidays which include
Memorial Day Weekend, Easter Weekend, July 4th Weekend, Labor Day
Weekend, Thanksgiving Week, Christmas Week, New Year Week. Taxes: All
Florida Sales & Hotel Taxes apply in addition to room Rate. Cleaning:
$60 Cleaning Fee for stays 7 days or less. Prices are for guidance
only, please confirm rates when booking, until confirmed, rates are
subject to change without notice. Please request Terms and Conditions
prior to booking.

The Shack, an additional 1 bed, 1 bath studio cottage, was completely
restored in 2007 and is now available as an optional extra. Note: The
